Hey I'm new here and well after Trolling around for a hour or two I felt like this Forum would be great to help me with planning this Event.
Last year on April 27Th my oldest sister, Becky, found out she had breast cancer, earlier in the year she lost her heath care when my Father retired, it's been a long road and she finished Chemo a few days after Thanksgiving and has started with Radiation. Since she doesn't have heath care she has a pretty big bill at the ER and Cancer Center at our town, I've been asked not to say how big the bill is, we've started a few fundraiser and our Church, St. Mary's Kalamazoo MI, has opened an bank account to keep the Funds we have raised in, but only the church can get to it.
I was hoping to have a Air-soft Fundraiser to help pay the bills and keep the Collection Agencies at bay for a while. Can someone help me with the basic ideas? and maybe some of the More Advanced stuff after the Fund raising Board Okay'd this project.
Thanks for Reading, Robb

It all depends on what you want to do. Different events have different levels of difficulty as well as profitability. All events, even recreational games take considerable time to plan. What kind of experience do you have with airsoft? Have you been to many Mil-Sims?

Well if you don't count a pretend Police raid on my friends barn with 4 or 5 people inside acting like the Taliban, then no.
but from what I get by reading stuff on here and also from watching youtube Videos from Scoutthedoggie there a lot like call of duty Missions but without the Call of Duty.. if you know what I mean.... their kind of like a highly planned movie war scene or a Military War Game where you have a few Objectives that you must complete and when you complete them all game over.
am I right?

Squirrel,
We ask that all of our members abide by the basic rules of English grammar when posting here. That means capitalizing correcting (like the first word in a sentence, not random words in the middle), using the right form of there/their/they're, using periods instead of ellipses, stuff like that. Have a warning and go read the forum rules so you can better avoid future rule violations.

First we try not to associate airsoft with video games. And second no sorry that backyard stuff isn't even close to a standard Mil-Sim. Military Simulation games are generally 7-8 hour long events where two or more factions are set against each other. Both factions have objectives they need to complete, objectives are designed in a way so that the factions clash as much as possible. It looks like the videos you were watching were from England. We do things a little differently here. another is we never refer to our games as "wars" war is a terrible thing where many brave men and women die for us to be safe. What we do is for fun, it is a game. If you're up for it there is a recreational game in Bangor MI on the 26th, next weekend, my squad and I will be there and we can talk and maybe help you see what would be involved in organizing one of these games.

At this moment I have to wait for tax return to come in before I can a buy new replica and the proper safety gear. But I would love to see a proper game. Thank you for Offering!
