It is indeed a small carrier. Here is a reference pic. Again, I'm 5'10" and 190 lbs. Please excuse the bummy MySpace-esqe picture. Best I can do right now.

That is small, but that's why I bought it. I used to run a Pantac (couldn't afford the Paraclete model at the time) HPC rig and I loved how small it was. It was like a PC that had the feel of a chest rig. That's the exact reason I went with the Banshee. Its actually very, very similar to the HPC but with a bit more features.

Double post for important information and relevance:
Rig arrived earlier today. I had a few drinks tonight so I don't feel ready to type a big long review with pictures. Look for it tomorrow afternoon maybe.

Seems like everyone and their brother is buying one. They just look like so small/short to me.

Seems like everyone and their brother is buying one. They just look like so small/short to me. That's the point. They are designed to protect your vitals with a ceramic plate. When you get a bigger rig, it provides less and less dexterity. The soft armor alone in those areas won't protect you from a rifle round.

Also, I apologize for the lack of review still. I've had a busy weekend and did more than I thought I would. I'm still messing around with the rig to get a full idea of its pro's and cons.

*Double post for update*
I decided that the best way to get real time on this carrier was to use it at No Limits all day tomorrow. Hence why the review is NOT up yet.
I think this opportunity will give me some insight into more of the pros and cons of this rig.

Would this cinch down sufficiently for a 5'7", 130-140lb figure? The Ares Armor Aspis is in the same price range, but 1) shoulder pads aren't included and 2) there are aspects of that design that aren't as aesthetically pleasing.

The cummerbund would be a loose I think. However, without the cummerbund, you should be able to cinch it down.

How does this compare, size wise, to an FAPC? Smaller?
