I'm starting this thread to see who would like to do a winter game at the Ypsi field. The date would possibly be the 17th or 18th, or a day around then. If we get enough support on this game, I'll contact Greg and have 'em host a game for us. Also if any of you have ideas about some fun stuff we could do for a holiday themed game, I think that'd be a cool idea! I want to try out this Ypsi field and see how well it works in the winter, Greg said he'd host one or two games in the winter, so I thought I'd get this started.

I was actually hoping that there would be some games there in the winter, as I never got a chance to play there in the summer/fall. As far as ideas for games goes, maybe Santa as a hostage? Just the first thing that came to mind.

I've had a couple of PMs about games there, and I haven't played since Tripoli, so I should be down.

Winter games aren't as cool as you would think.
Depends on how cold and if there is snow or not.

I've played my share, they can be just as fun as any other game. Just like those brutally hot summer games, you have to prepare for the conditions.

Winter games are fun, Dress warm, And keep your feet warm and they are just as fun! As for me? I'm in Edit: If it was themed, I could always dress as buddy the elf and use my candy-cane secondary!

Near the corner of Michigan Ave and Ellsworth in Ypsi. There's an address in the Op: Shores of Tripoli thread if you want to go digging.

I'm definitely down to play over the winter at the Ypis field. Unfortunately My Saturday and Sundays from now until January 15th are booked during 9am-1pm as I'm taking a course to get my IIBA certification.

I'm down, but not for I'm assuming December 18th. I'll be out at Yankee's place.
But in general yeah, I'd love to play some winter games at Ypsi. Should be interesting to see what the terrain does with snow and ice on the ground.

Should be interesting to see what the terrain does with snow and ice on the ground. With those hills, the way it's been raining, and their terrible drainage? We're all going to break out necks. It'll be a time!
