I have a Vsr-10 sniper rifle and i am having some problems with getting a consistent straight shot. I have stock parts inside the cylinder, but I have and upgraded hop-up so it can take longer AEG barrels. I replaced the bucking as well thinking that's the problem, but i still have a shot that hooks hard right. I am out of ideas what might fix this problem. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Are you using the PDI hop up chamber? I assume that is what it is considering you are using AEG barrels, but thought I would confirm anyways. As for the curving issue, I used to have a PDI chamber in my 96, and never really solved the issue. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure that when installing the chamber into the outer barrel, to ensure the chamber does not rotate slightly, leaving the nubbin off center, which could be causing the curve issue. Here is a thread, where I diagnose this problem. Only thing is that it involves the l96 variants, not the VSR variants. However, the same concepts (for the most part) still apply: airsoftsniper.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=maruzenrifles&action=display&thread=1794

No I am not using the PDI hop-up chamber I am using the laylax AERO chamber. www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_VSR_10_AERO_Chamber_NEO_p/58466.htmI have good seals everywhere i just can't seem to get it shooting right. I didn't think that the PDI hop-up would be too much different because the stock hop-up is so good in the VSR series. If the PDI hop-up will make that much of a difference then i will be willing to shell out the money. The research that I did on the two, I just didn't see any advantages to getting the PDI chamber.

I am confused as to why you think I said that the PDI chamber would give you better results? I was pointing more in the direction of the PDI chamber being a MAJOR hassle. Why did you go with the AERO chamber if you felt the VSR stock hop up was so good? Not trying to get on your back, just confused as to the statements you made. Anyways, as for the curving with the aero chamber issue, I will say again, but make sure that nubbin is completely centered. When installing the chamber, sometimes it rotates slightly due to pressure, and this will cause curved shots. Besides that, not much else I can recommend as you said you switched buckings and all. May I ask why you switched to the AERO chamber instead of sticking with the stock hop up?

The AERO chamber is the exact same thing as the stock hop up, the only difference is the AERO chamber can accept AEG barrels. So i did stick with the stock hop-up in all actuality. I went back and checked the nubbin to, and it all looks good to me. I will mess with it more today, I am hoping that I can solve the problem.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. Just got a little confused there. Never had experience with the aero chamber, so I wouldn't know. Based on what you said, since the AERO chamber is very similar to the Stock chamber, you are pretty much having the same exact problem I had with my stock VSR chamber. I constantly got the right curve issue that you are having, and to solve this, I tried numerous things. In the end, the mod that worked the best was a small o-ring, that was placed over the top of the hop up arm fangs, which were filed down equally so that they were flat. The ring sat on top (wrapped around the arm) and applied equal pressure to the bucking, and gives me straight shots now. If this confuses you due to lack of description, let me know and I can get some pics up and link my thread where I did this mod. It worked like a charm, and should do the exact same for you.

That does sound like a good idea and I think I will try it out. If you don't mind could you send me the pics in a PM or post them here? Just so I can see what it looks like before I give it a try.
Thanks.

Thanks. I actually have to take down my rifle and clean the hop up so I can get some pics up once I do that. I am going to take her down tomorrow, and will get some pics up then, if that is okay? Sorry for any delay, I'll post some pics here tomorrow for you.
