So I recently traded for a JG m4 and all the midcaps i tried to use won't work except for the one he gave me. Can anyone tell me what brand or what type of mag this is so I know what ones to buy. All i know its full metal and theres no windy thing on the bottom to take the spring out. That's called a STANAG magazine. They're pretty common.

I think he means what brand of mag, Dallas. And as far as that goes, I have no idea. If it's not stamped on there anywhere it may be hard to tell. What brand mags were you trying to use in it? That info might be more helpful to us in figuring out what mags will work for you.

I tried using King Arms, that didn't work, and a Pts PMAG and that didn't work. Like the follower gets jammed and doesn't feed the bb's up. i cant decide if its my gun or the mags, but the mags work in my friends m4's.

Sorry if I came off as a snob. All I can say is try around with full metal STANAG Midcaps. If you don't have any success, there isn't much you can do but get your mag well fixed or get a new gun.

Thanks and it's ok. Do you think you can send me a link of a full metal STANAG midcap?

Have you tried MAG brand magazines? They usually feed in just about everything.

Will it feed and shoot if you push the mag up from the bottom of the mag? If it does then the magazine release tab is to blame for letting the mag sit to low. Some of them is flush and some of them is recessed down a bit and I'm suspecting your's is the one that recessed down a bit if it feed under the condition I described.

At this point, it's your gun that either needs replacing or a new mag-well.
