Now that I have my gun, and some gear lined up(coming in the mail), I figured it be good to get a secondary weapon. Been doing research and reading the threads you guys put up, and I know you guys are going to say KSC,TM, and KWA. I really love the design of the 1911's but the only ones I could seem to find were made of ABS plastic, and was curious if they made full metal models. If not, what would some good full metal models of any kind of gun that you guys recommend. I am really open to anything, so if you guys have any you guys like, list em'. Thanks

Before we go any further, let me ask you, why is full metal important to you? What do you see that build material affecting in terms of what the replica is or does for you?

To add to this, my TM MEU has held up on propane very well, even with the plastic slide. It performs great and is not wearing down like my old Glock which had a metal slide (eventually had to replace it).

FishJust don't enjoy them as much, I mean I will use a non-metal one if needed, it is not that big of a deal. Just more a preference thing, like how it feels, looks and weighs. Oh, and it just feels that it is more durable. So what are you views on the metal vs. ABS plastic? Also kinda assumed that full metal were better... milesYes, read that, was just asking more along the lines of specific models/sub-models that you guys enjoyed that have worked out for you in the pats. What I mean by sub-models are a specific type. An example, Sig Sauer P226 E2, instead of just all the P226's out there.

I think the quality of the manufacturer has a lot more to do with the quality of the gun than the material used. TMs, KSC, WAs are all generally made with ABS slides and frames (with some exceptions), and all are very reliable guns. WEs, KJWs, HFC and others are made with metal, yet always find a way to break on you. The reason is simple, TM, KSC and WA build guns well and WE, KJW and HFC build guns cheap. If you want something reliable and you like 1911s, there's no better option right now than a TM MEU or 1911A1, depending on whether you like a classic look or a modern look.
If you really want full metal, then invest in a metal body kit and install it on your TM. You'll have the great performance of the TM GBB with a far better looking and feeling gun than any stock GBB out there. The quality of a decent aftermarket kit far surpasses anything that comes stock on a GBB, plus you get all of the options of picking your styling, color, trademarks and more. If you want a good GBB that's full metal, this is the way to go.

TM 226's aren't full metal. They come with plastic bodies just like any other TM gun.

"Steel Grey" is what they're calling the color of the slide, not the build material on that TM. The KSC is full metal though. And yes, their excellent quality will extend through their full metal line.
