Another update here if anyone is interested. I recieved a real eotech 553 battery cover from brownells today, and it was totally different than the aabb one and was definitely not compatible. (Real one was smaller, used cr123s, etc) Anyways, I'm not 100% sure where I'll go with this. I may just say forget the whole thing, considering all of the problems that replica eotechs seem to have.

Sorry, I didn't see your post before. I'm not sure what brand my 552 is. If I did I would snatch up 4 or 5 of them.
As a general practice I don't like to take apart my ACM electronics. Those solder joints barely hold on as it is, I would rather not help them fall off. I do know someone who has a few with blown out lenses, I might be able to borrow them and post up some pics for you.

Well I don't think that I'll end up going through with this anyhow. Since replica eotechs just seem to have quite a few shortfalls, at least in my opinion. Don't worry about the lenses, since all of that only mattered to me if I could make my 553 look real. I figured that if I spend the extra cash to make it look real, I might as well make it perform up to my standards. Anywho, since the real parts don't seem to fit, I've decided I'm not gonna bother.
I'll probably just end up with an aimpoint t1 (I know it's not really kosher) or specter DR for my Block II build.
As it stands right now, I guess I'm not overly dissapointed with my replica 553, since I aim with both eyes open, the reflective rear lens really doesn't make it too bad. In fact, it's perfectly usable, which took me a while to figure out, but I'm just a perfectionist and it bugs me.
