So I bought a used gun and it didn't come with a stock, all it came with is a little cap that screws on to the back. How do I attach a stock on to the back? I have an Echo 1 MOD4 CQB AEG

Does it have a buffer tube? It's a 7ish inch black tube sticking straight off the back of the gun. If it does, then you just slide pretty much any M4 stock on the buffer tube. If it doesn't have a buffer tube, then you'll have to install one. Pictures of the back of your gun would help if you can get them up.

I'm new to the forums, how do you add a picture?

My battery is on the side in one of those box things so I dont have to worry about the battery, and im pretty sure i already i have a sling plate so how do you attach the sling plate to the buffer tube, then to the stock? Thanks

That sling plate is going to go in between the buffer tube and where it threads into the back of your gun. Strictly speaking, I don't think you absolutely need to install it, but if you don't I think there will be a bit of a gap. Plus, it's only $10 and you'll be able to use a one-point sling with it if you want.
EDIT- Just remembered, some buffer tubes don't thread into the body like that. In those cases, a screw goes from the inside of the buffer tube into the receiver, much like how that cap is screwed on now.
