What can I do with an Echo 1 Scar L other than an Army Rangers loadout? I might be buying one soon, but I am not sure what I can do with it yet. Can I get some suggestions?

Not much. The MK16 was canceled for SOCOM. There's a photo of a CCT with one, and one of some SWCC guys with an unknown SCAR on their backs. They may have been rubber training versions from the look of it anyway.

I have had both the Mk16 and Mk17 from Echo 1. I know they're actually Dboys, but I've been nothing but pleased with both of them. The Mk17 is my current primary. Honestly the only complaint I've had is the cost of the mid caps. Roughly $80-100 for three.

Shadowcompany, please don't double post. Proboards has provided you with a handy modify button just for that purpose.

For the price, I'd definitely recommend the Echo 1/Dboys. I've seen a few of the more recent ones and while they aren't quite as nice as VFC externally, they're more than worth their price. The VFC comes with plastic bushings and a plastic spring guide, which is unacceptable for anything over $200 in my opinion, let alone close to $400. VFC's wiring has never been the best either, so unless you want the absolute best internals and are willing to put even more money into the internals, go with Echo 1/Dboys.
