The Wilson Combat Super Grade costs $3750. A custom gunsmith named Larry Vickers charges $4000-5000 for his guns. I would like to get a Rock River Arms Limited Match or a SIG P220 Sport. Bigmack, visit this link. They make that gun you are talking about. www.stiguns.com

That is WAAY too much money for a Pony.
Scattergun Technologies Shotguns are usually sold side by side with wilson combats, they are $800 shotguns. How the hell can a shotgun cost that much? I want to know if those special 1911's are 10 times better than the normal ones (because they cost 10 times more).

they're custom built competition guns. where you aim, it goes....no variance...especially the 10mm's.

Yeah, I always see those guys using them for competitions. I know the 10mm is faster, but it's more accurate than the 45 ACP?

not necessarily...ammo is only as accurate as the gun wants it to be...it's all in the design of the barrel and the length of the barrel...that's what increases the accuracy.

There is an obvious difference between a Colt 1991 A1 and a Wilson Combat Super Grade.
All of the parts are handfitted and polished for extrememly smooth functioning. You get what you pay for.
Why are the Scattergun Technologies Shotguns so expensive?
The $800 one you are talking about is probably the Standard Model or the 11-87 Model. Again, these shotguns are accessorized to the max (with practical accessories) and the action is honed to provide smooth, reliable functioning. The 870 Standard Model also comes with a Sure-Fire Tactical Light/Forend, which costs a litte more than $200.
The 10mm round deserves more popularity. The 10mm round generates up to 200 ft lbs more than the .45 ACP. However, this power comes at a price. Guns that have been simply converted to take 10mm will shoot themselves to pieces after about 5000 rounds, such as the Colt Delta Elite. I don't think this is much of a problem, as the Delta Elite was introduced early in the 10mm's life, and bugs had not been fixed. Is it as accurate? I don't know. 1911's in .45 ACP can be tuned to shoot 1.5" groups at 50 yards. According to a test in Shotgun News, an EAA Witness in 10mm shot a 2" group at 24 yards. However, these 2 guns are completely different. I have no accuracy tests from a custom-tuned 1911 in 10mm.

I'm not stupid. I was just interested in the less popular 10mm cartrage.
