Yes as soon as I can, been a bit busy lately, won't be too soon before I get them though. Sorry about that. Where did you get the CA M16A2? Can never find them anywhere. The only places I saw that have them are out of stock.

The A2 I picked up from a guy over on ASF. Yes, they are pretty difficult to find, although G&G does make an A2 Sportline if you don't need to have a metal body. It's also easy enough to find an A4 and grab an A2 receiver from overseas.

I want to get a CA M16A2 and maybe put an M203 and a heatshield on it. Not sure what I want to do this point in time. I would like a systema M16A2 but they're quite expensive haha. Also what kind of boots do you wear with your setup?

I know last year it was easy to find a G&P A2. Are those becoming rare too?

The G&P A2s are pretty easy to find. Ehobby Asia usually stocks several varieties of G&P A2s under slightly different names. Honestly, I got my CA A2 for a good deal. Had I had more money or if I needed to have a brand new A2, I would have purchased the G&P. My G&P M733 is a beautifully realistic looking rifle, while the CA A2 is sort of "meh" externally. I'm not a huge fan of full length rifles, but an A2 is a requirement for East Wind, hence my purchase. gunnysgtI have some old school, early 1990s, USGI black leather boots that I picked up at a surplus shop in OH for $10. I'm not sure what the official designation of these old school boots is/was. If you really want an A2 and have the cash to spare, I'd recommend the G&P. They run around $230 ($310-320 after shipping from Asia) and are very nice both internally and externally. You can also get full trademarks, which is nice if you're into that.

After searching a bit, I found a place with a CA M16A2. I've always been a fan of CA's. Internals don't matter too much to me as I usually get them upgraded anyways. I'm looking in to getting some Altama USGI black boots. I currently wear my Altama jungle boots but need some full leather ones.

1983: The A1 is the correct model, with the simplified rear sight, the birdcage flash hider, and the 30 round mag. A quick homework assignment shows that the US Army didnt start buying A2s en-masse until 1986, so you can count on the fact that Marines were "making do".
