I am looking at buying the KWA 2gx m16 and I already own some small type nunchucks, but since this gone can hold any battery, does anyone know what battery comes with it?(the battery charger combo for $10, the option u get when u buy a gun off of evike). I just need to know if the battery is going to be some testing purpose only 7.2 or something actually decent if its worth the money

It's normally a 8.4v 1100mah battery, the charger is horrible and will break your battery if you aren't careful, so get a smart charger.

Alright thanks, I have a smart charger already so im set, I guess ill just buy the battery, its only 10$ and I don't have a spare. I just didn't want to do the jump to Li-po, even tho the gun is already ready for it.

Just a tip, while it may say it's li-po ready, that doesn't necessarily mean that a li-po won't cause stress on the gearbox. A 9.6v will make the gun last longer internally. Just my 0.02 cents

Have you seen the KWA 2gx gearbox? Its rock solid...KWA says u can put an m150 in it with out ANY other upgrades and your fine.

Yeah, I can put an M150 spring in a JG gun too... but that doesn't mean it's going to last long. The same thing applies to the KWA. Although it may state that it's "LiPo Ready", it really isn't.

I know KWA's gearboxes are pretty solid, more so then a JG, but yeah Paranox is right, something is going to break if you stress the internals. I play it completely safe by using an 8.4v on my KWA and I have a spring that I'm going to put in so I can use it for CQB, which is actually a downgrade. Plus, the voltages on most lipos make the ROF too fast for my taste, and m150 springs shoot way too hard for a fully automatic weapon that isn't even a DMR.

Have a forum warning, and don't post unless you can take the time to post in proper English. You might want to review the rules as well.

Sorry about the grammar. And paradox, have you seen that gearbox? They reinforced the $@ out of it. I think it could easily take a Li-po, KWA reccomends that you buy a Li-po for it. But I do agree that the speed is a bit much, I like 9.6 personally.

I wouldn't put a lipo in anything with out a serious internal look over. Most "lipo ready" guns...are not.

KWA's are NOT Li-po ready. As evidenced by todays events.

Running Full-Auto with an 11.1v 20C Lipo, stripped my 3rd piston so far. I keep replacing them rather than just getting a weaker battery. It's not really a pain for me since I like fixing my guns anyways.
What happens is that the battery will spin the gears faster than the piston can return, and since the high Current coming from the battery won't let the motor slow down, the gears just spin right through the teeth.
KWA's will easily handle a 7.4v LiPo, but only lower C rated 11.1v's can be used safely. Even so, full auto is a terrible idea with a LiPo.
Edit: I think I also read a disclaimer on the KWA site that the gearboxes should only be used with LiPo's rated 15C or lower. Because I don't care and have more money than sense (and also really like 24-26 rps), I run a 20C in mine.

Yea as I was reading that you were using a 20c, I was going to say something about the 15c or lower, but it seems to me that you already know that. I don't suppose either the km16, or the sr-12 would be aloud at Taylor no limits? Because of how hot it fires....but I was planning on slapping in either an m130 or m140, get an aluminum cylinder head, and a edgi(or however its spelled) 6.01 tbb, then make it permanently semi-auto, would that make the gun eligible to play?

My friend was thinking of doing the same thing, I'm almost positive it would be allowed then. If I remember correctly its 401 fps to 540.9 have to be semi only with a 50 foot engagement distance.
