Does anyone know where I can buy suppressors filled with foam, or ones where the caps unscrew so I can stuff them with foam myself?

You will need to order them overseas as most U.S. retailers do not stock them due to that whole ''If it lowers the decibel output, it's considered a functioning suppressor'' law we've got goin' on over here.

Bear in mind as well, that you run the risk of it being seized by customs should they choose to inspect your package. Last time I ordered from overseas, my package had Customs inspection tape all over it. Thankfully I didn't order anything questionable.

Interesting. Does this apply only to ones stuffed with foam, or any hollow tube? And is it relevant whether the "suppressor" is actually attachable to a real firearm without modification? I have a lot of questions about this, as you could imagine. Searching on google hasn't been very helpful.

The material it's made of and what it attaches to is irrelevant. 'If it lowers the decibel output, it's considered a functioning suppressor' seems pretty cut and dry to me. If sound is dampened, it's a suppressor.

I've never personally had a problem ordering them, however I've heard from people that nearly every "suppressor" they've ordered was confiscated. Attaching it to a real firearm really isn't a factor as it's not going to work, doesn't have any relevance on whether it gets through customs, and lastly I'm just gonna laugh when your fake can explodes in your face and I have the only phone to call 911.

Some of the replica Knight's Armament suppressors have an endcap that screws off. The one Element makes, for example.
However, bear in mind that these can also be seized by customs if they happen to inspect your package. If it dampens sound by even 1 decibel, it can be classified as a suppressor.

My biggest thing is making sure the damn thing doesn't way 10lbs. If its lightweight and the end cap doesn't come off I will survive, although foam filled would be 1337 as fug.

The one I posted above is actually quite light and the endcap does NOT screw off! Keep in mind that it is the quick detach so it goes over the end of the flashhider.

I have had luck with the suppressors from eHobby. Over the years I have ordered a few from there and havent had any bad luck yet. Most recent one was their spartan doctrine model, which was a standard 40x200mm, but it came foam filled. It is also incredibly light for its size and priced at like $15. Tack it onto an order with a bunch of smaller items and you get the good deal of ordering from eHobby.
