I remember you mentioning that you guys were getting ATACS, Jager. It didn't dawn on me as to just how soon until I saw Max's facebook post...

God that Masada is hawt with the ATACS. Its very "soldier of the future" looking. What color gear you guys planning on running? Im assuming khaki?

It has almost equal parts tan and brown on it, but I imagine OD gear would look terrible with it. I'm gonna be running a Coyote Tan battle harness.

Unlike multicam there will be no confusing this with green so I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed at events.
It definitely looks good with anything tan or CB.

I have to say the load out you had on Saturday was looking very well put together ARC, I don't see where there would be a problem at all either.

I, for one, still cannot fathom how people can confuse Multicam with other green based camos. Maybe it's just me. No branch uses it yet, but Digital Concealment Systems (DCS) intended ATACs to be made to replace ACUs, so my best bet would be that ATAC's will be marketed to the grunts. Don't think so, Tim. My guess is that we may see a few one-off photos of SOF guys using it, otherwise, like Carl said, look to see it used more stateside.

Get an ATACS chest rig and get a MICH and paint it an ATACS pattern, and you got yourself one unique loadout.

A-TACs chest rig is already in the works since I hate PC's. I was thinking about the Phalanx Type 2 Didn't know what generation helmet I should get. However, I am burning through cash fast and replicas are OK, so if you know of an appropriate helmet to make an A-TAC's loadout with, I'm all ears (I have nothing else to say).

A MICH 2000 or MICH 2001 should be fine. Just make sure to paint it in the ATACS pattern like you did with your Masada. However, I think you should be able to do virtually anything helmet wise. Seeing as ATACS hasn't been used by military yet, there is no pictures that can be used for reference to help build your kit.
There are the pictures that ATACS officials have taken, but that's another story because it is from one group and one group only. I for one, think a pro-tec half shell would look very nice painted in ATACS or an Ops-Core BUMP or FAST Helmet.
Just my .02 cents.

Arc's got the MASADA, not me, however I agree that the paint job I have needs some redoing now.
Are there cheap replicas of any of those helmets? Not looking to spend more than $40 for something I'm rarely going to use, since I'm more of a boonie guy.

Honestly, I would just get a cheapo replica of what you want. I have a $15 ABS thin wall PAGST and with a cover on it you cant tell the difference. You can easily replace the pads/chin strap. That way you save some cash and your helmet doesn't weigh 10 lbs.

I didn't say anything though just in case you weren't who I thought you were. Yeah it was a pretty simple loadout. Atacs is so nice that I don't think I have too much gear that won't go well with the pattern.

Yea, I would agree almost any "tan" based gear would look good. With your shotgun it was unbelievable how well everything blended together, over all a great pattern.
