I imagine it's pretty heavy though? Not really. The barrel, upper frame, and mechanics are metal but the majority of it is fiber reinforced plastic (or OMG POLYMER) which makes it pretty light. The stock is also metal but becomes a non issue once removed. I The customer service from BTC is the best I've ever experienced. I will definitely agree to that. Wish I could get a HK45 setup. I just hear way to many horror stories from it's owners even on the KWA friendly home forum. Looks like Marui is releasing theirs finally. Maybe the aftermarket will support the Marui release more than the KWA. The HK45 in both airsoft and real steel form seem to be a bit of an unpopular choice though.

While the Marui one has me intrigued, I'd want to wait for Airsoft Surgeon (or that other company, Action I think it's called) to come out with their SAI slide and barrel set.
If I'm going to run a HK45 it has to be a pimp one.
On a related matter did you ever own any of KSC/KWA USP series? May look into picking one up and slapping a nickel slide on it to fill the void left behind from my sold G17.

That a boy! Now kit that up. Thanks for all the help and advice. I spent the last few games fighting with the rear airline fitting coming loose. I think I finally solved the issue but if not I will be looking into a way to hard mount a QD airline to the sling plate. I've seen the P* version but I don't like their sling plate as it uses the strap and not a clip. At any rate, I picked up some awesome new gear. Icom F4011I'm really trying to make it to more Lions Claws caliber games in the future, and I'm pretty sure I'll make use of this. My Uncle has a GMRS license, which if I read the law correctly covers me, but I'm not too thrilled about having to announce his radio call sign every so often. May decide to just be a "bubble pack pirate". Also picked up the programing software and cable, and Peltor style PTT. The geniuses used a straight Icom connector so it's awkward as hell for pouch fitment. Has anyone ever seen a 90 degree Icom adapter? I'm also thinking of running a splitter between my Toy Soldier MBITR and the Icom PTT's to work as the radio operator for our squad. That means double the chance of an emergency tone... Safariland HK45 holsterOh my god it DOES exist! Not exactly what I wanted, but I couldn't pass it up. I was hoping for tan and this is for the LEM model so I can't carry condition 1. I always de-cock my pistols if possible as airsoft springs suck and tend to weaken pretty quick so it doesn't bother me at all. I only had to stretch the front to fit my giant goofy thread protector. Sure beats the hell out of the Tornado holster I had before. Anyone with experience, do you think I can belt mount or molle mount the holster with one of those drop kits and keep the same or close to the same height? I don't particularly like drop legs and would prefer to belt mount it but I don't want it way up by my waist.

Yeah they made about 5 of them.
I still might order the exact one I want in the future direct from Safariland but for now I'm happy. Got a really good price on it.

Using the low ride safariland ubl would probably put the holster a bit higher up than the drop leg rig. You could also run just the lower strap on the drop leg and have it sit a little higher.

Thanks Ctres. I never saw your reply. I will look into the UBL. The good news though is that the drop leg basically disappeared on my leg. It never bothered me and it stayed put. I was really impressed. I have been busy switching from my CA X-series base over to G&P rifles. A bunch of G&P's have been popping up in the commerce section, but every damn time they do I haven't checked. I'll get one eventually. 14.5" dedicated M203 upperI had put together a 10.5" CQBR upper from a bunch of painted parts that I had kicking around for years. I had planned to paint it all to match. Then PHX02 posted his painted rifle equipped with an M203. I thought it looked awesome and it reminded me that my own M203 had paint on it. I swapped the 10.5" barrel for a 14.5" and slapped the M203 on there. Upper before paint. And After. The EoTech is real, and I had planned to paint it to match since it already has paint on it. It turned out to be stolen and the situation hasn't been worked out yet. If I end up keeping it I will paint it to match. If it goes back, I'll probably put an Aimpoint on it. CAR/XM177/A1 buildI don't really know what exactly this would be called, or if it ever actually existed. I bought the A1 body to use the lower with my SPR (posted earlier). This left me with the A1 upper. My CA XM177 came with a broken upper and a ruined flash suppressor way back when I picked it up used. I decided to use the CA parts on the A1 upper to make something period looking. The delta ring is a G&P nut with CA spring and flat collar, and the G&P snap ring. CA CAR hand guards (thinner than M4) and an A1 flash hider. Only problem is the CA A1 pistol grip doesn't match up well with the G&P body so there is a gap. Will replace it eventually. I love the simplicity of this rifle and the fact that it weighs almost nothing. Tokyo Marui M14 SOCOMPicked this up from X a while back. Had a full Guarder tune up kit in it with steel gears, and a Prometheus barrel with an R-hop. It had those oil groove bushings which had started to wear rings into the gear shaft finish. Thankfully the shafts were still true so I popped in a set of regular bushings and relubed it. Installed an Extreme Fire MOSFET in it while I had it apart. Future plans are to install a 51T flash hider so I can use my AAC 7.62 can, and a scope of some sort. The 51T is very deep so I need a 2" barrel extension before I can mount it. G&P M16A2Landed an awesome deal on a complete M16A2 body brand new in the box, and a G&P M5 RAS front end brand new in the box. I ended up mounting the A2 hand guards from my FN M16A4 on the A2 upper. The G&P A2 bodies are sort of odd. The ones with the Mil-Spec markings have SAFE, SEMI, AUTO. The ones like I have, which appear to have civilian trades, have the correct SAFE, SEMI, BURST. Seems odd from G&P. Plans for this include a Polarstar (I hate selling shit then buying it again a few months later). G&P FN M16A4Scored the M5 RAS as mentioned above. Whole front end for $25. Just swapped out the hand guards for the RAS. I have an ACOG I want to mount on it, but the eye relief is just so horrible. Not sure what I'm going to choose for optics. For some reason I just really like this rifle. Having an A4 with reliable three round burst is awesome. Whoring the trades again.

I'm still super jelly that you picked up X's TM M14 TheEnd. Still one of the remaining airsoft guns I want to add to my personal collection. Anyways, your collection is superb.

WE 416 GBBR
Sorta late to the party, but that 416 looks amazing.... makes me want to build one. Also where did you get that grip? Is it off a RS 416?

Also where did you get that grip? Is it off a RS 416? The grip and stock are both real steel HK parts. I love the more vertical grip angle. Update time. VFC HK417 350C SN #40 of 350I had the VFC 417 12" assaulter version before which I traded to Gunslinger. It was an awesome rifle but I vastly prefer longer barrels on my long range rifles. I always wished it was a 20" and decided to let it go. While searching eBay for unrelated items I came across a 350C which had been purchased by a shop in Florida and used as a display/conversation piece. Everything was in great shape, case and bipod were included, and I figured it would be a nice birthday gift to myself (easier to justify). I am really surprised by how much heavier it is than the 12" version. The rail is nicely done with CNC processing for the rail cuts, which makes the cast upper receiver rails look cheesy. I know these things pretty much suck internally, and the proprietary gear box has a penchant for cracking at stock performance levels. A standard P* FE is far from a drop in fit (Bingo did a swap). Now that the SMP is in production and Polarstar is planning the F1 there is hope that it will be useable. Once the F1 is released I will compare it against the SMP and pick whichever is best. Just received it yesterday. Haven't had a chance to clean up the orange. Did a digital clean up in the next two. Will probably run my Leupold replica on it. My short dot looks a bit funky. #40 of 350 G&P Rapid FirePretty neat little AEG. Will most likely replace the RDW as my CQB AEG. There are two versions of this AEG. The Rapid Fire as I have has an LMT MRP upper which has the upper and rail as one piece. The Rapid Fire II uses a MUR upper and a 4" standard rail. Included is a suppressor with an inner barrel. I know these systems typically don't work well but there were a lot of positive reviews. I plan to use the lower as a parts donor in a trademarked M4A1 build so the skull frog lower will be going away. I plan to install a railed gas block as the FSP looks a bit old school compared to the rest of it. The upper and rail is all one piece. Definitely a super solid body with no wobble anywhere. G&P M16A2Finally finished. Was able to find a donor G&P. Internally it's mostly standard G&P but it does have a BTC Spectre MOSFET so it has working 3rd burst. Before I sold my CA M16 I removed its tritium front sight post and put it in the A2. Figured if all I have are irons might as well make them easy to use. I'm kicking around the idea of making an A3 to go with this and my A4 just for the hell of it. Not terribly interested in the A1 though. Lower with burst markings. All complete. Gun wallSince my fiancé and I moved into our house we have agreed that the garage and the basement were mine. I've almost finished the garage, and have now turned my attention to the basement. While I plan it all out I hung some pegboard to give me an idea of how much space I'm going to need. I plan to build a cabinet below to house my gear and give me a place to display the very heavy EBR, Barrett, and M249. I already have a large cabinet for storing mags and such, as well as a metal fire proof cabinet that I use as a charging station and lipo storage area. Shitty picture because basement. Don't mind the strange accessory placement or missing bits. Have been playing around with various possibilities.
