Though I don't like ATACS, I think this looks great. Fantastic work man.

So today it was perfect outside and I decided to try out multicam on a gun. It isn't airsoft, its a daisy pellet gun that I had lying around from a while and took it apart to learn how it works as I was bored on day. I wanted some practice before I do my helmet and my ak. Looking back on some online pics, it looks like it is pretty close, but the color of the last coat, the satin, is to whitish. It looks like I will have to go pick up some darker white. The whole process took about 5 hours as I had to wait for each coat to dry! Total of 7 coats. Other advice appreciated!

Some of that light tan color should be fading to a darker brown color. Gunslinger put together an explanation on how to paint multicam, his turn out awesome looking.

Those instructions were actually the response he wrote for me after I asked him about getting some more detailed info before I took a go. Taking a look at some pics, it looks like I over did the white a little bit, and that I need the lighter brown fading with the tan colored base coat. I see some pictures online with versions with some black paint.
I think next time Ill be sure to get that lighter brown fading in with the tan, and I will probably stick with the same color of white, Ill just do less of it. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my first try with all the layers.

It also wouldn't hurt to actually have some multicam BDUs. I'm assuming you don't, since you are having to look it up on the internet. It never hurts to have it sitting right next to you when you're trying to lay out the paint job.
Good first try tough.

I like how the helmet turned out, not too sure on the magazine, though...

The Krylon Solid Tan EVERY thing first, dust the same brand flat brown in spots randomly and you will have the perfect "base" then use you stencils for the greens and brown then whit usually last, And try to use "smaller" white cut outs and pin hole sized ones spread out a little more and longer ones for the green and short again for the brown and you actually "should" get a better look, but as Tank said, not a bad first run.
