I have nothing else to say at the Cute nOOb Talisman !!! I like how you call yourself a Chairsoft already and your only in your mid 20's. Enjoy it now while you can still play. And remember it only gets harder the older you get. I always like to say THE OLDER I GET THE BETTER I WAS.

Heck, I'll jump on the bandwagon too. Airsoft started for me really when I was 6, playing cowboys and indians with my cousins. We didn't have guns that shot projectiles, but that didn't stop us from playing with our western cap guns, long void of caps. Airsoft was around back then, but we were oblivious. It was the thrill of the hunt, and playing with toy guns. I think it is pretty safe to say most boys my age did that when they were young, given the opportunity. Zip forward many a year, probably late 02- early 03, and one of my best friends John started playing backyard with a couple of his friends in Indiana. (Though backyard to them was a warehouse one their parents owned.) They had already progressed to AEG's (TM PSG-1, TM P-90, TM M-4's, GBB Glocks, etc... That is how I was introduced to it. "You mean I can shoot you with this, and it won't damage you? Won't make a mess like paintball?.... I'm in!" Luckily for me I got to completely skip the springer phase of the learning curve, and my first purchase was a KSC GBB M9 in 03. Followed in months by a TM MP5A4, quickly replaced by a TM M-733 Commando. Bunch of my other friends bought guns and basic gear, woodland BDU's, and we were off, playing nearly every weekend as we had hundreds of acres of private land to play on amongst us. We had between 6-11 people over that time. My story is not without some pang of sorrow. In June of 05 our friend John was killed riding home from work on a friday night on his motorcycle. It was the day after his 20th birthday. We were supposed to play airsoft the next day. Without a doubt he was our airsoft leader, the very nexus of our group of friends. He was the guy that called everyone and got us motivated to play. Without him airsoft wasn't the same. Needless to say we didn't play much the rest of 05. In 06 we picked it up a bit more, but it still wasn't the same, and we were all about to get out of it. Then in July of 07 I stumbled across one of Canto's Armory Airsoft cards in a podunk gas station, that eventually brought me to this site. When we realized that there were other people playing within 15 miles of my house we were dumbfounded. We went to an event in Mattawan, and were blown away, and have been playing at events ever since. That was the boost we needed. We wanted to name our team after John, or something that he liked, while at the same time sounding halfway "cool". He was huge into Eagles and Wolves, so after much internal diliberation we went for Team Black Talon. In addition to our team logo... Those of us that knew him wear this. We kept running into the same two guys at Mattawan, we had similar personalities and scruples so we brought them on board. We picked up Dingo and Mongoose, who became the first of several more members of our northern element. Though we really don't distinguish ourselves. Now years later, we picked up a Marine Tactics Instructor, and a couple other guys, and make a descent sized group if we can all show up at once. I don't think that has ever happened to my knowledge. Now our new guys are more active than most of the original members, because people get married and stuff and life happens. We will see how this year turns out. We have 3 members getting married in 2010, and I have 2 fractures that won't heal up. I have a feeling we will be making a showing throughout this year and the years to come, the best we can. My only regret is not finding this site sooner. John would have absolutely loved playing at these events and meeting you all, and I'm sure you guys would have loved him as well. To this day he is the most avid airsoft nut I have ever ran across, by now he likely would have had 50-100 guns. (He had 11 when he was killed, and made comments about having every model.) He was the kind of guy that played with all his gusto, but had a heck of a lot of fun doing it. A fierce competitor, but he'd turn right around and be a showboat clown. He wold have fit in swell.

Not a very long life of airsoft yet, but I might as well tell my story. At the age of 12 (4 years ago) my brother and I had seen airsoft guns for the first time ever at a dunhams sports store. Of course at the time they only had the lpaeg guns and spring guns, nevertheless me and him were arguing over which gun was the best and I had picked a see through mini uzi, while he picked a crosman stinger r34. At the time we had money, but not with us, so we begged our mom to get the guns with a bucket of .12g bbs. She bought us the guns and bbs and when we got home we gave her our money. At the time we actually were too scared to shoot them at each other (yeah I know we were pussies) so all we did was shoot through notebook paper at certain distances.
Later the addiction of these guns grew and I had boughten a shotgun from the fair, an electric blowback desert eagle from the houghton bridgefest, and my brother had boughten a tiny spring pistol and a KWC m92 spring pistol, which I had later used for my first games. Unfortunately as we grew older the airsoft guns got suppressed because most of them were breaking. The stinger had a broken stock and magazine, the shotgun trigger system was broken, the charger for the desert eagle was lost, and the mini uzi had snapped one of the internal gears.
Later in 2008 as a freshman, my friend Eddie had told me about how he had boughten a powerful airsoft bolt action sniper rifle and how there were "professional" airsoft guns other than the crappy lpaegs and springers. After school that day I had looked online and started picking out what I might want for christmas, which was a classic army g36. When christmas rolled around, I saw a long present under the tree knowing obviously what it was. On opening the box I was absolutely stunned by the quality of the gun. After taking it out of the box I knew that I had to fire it, so I charged the NiCad battery on the wall charger it came with. Disregarding the manual that explained the memory effect of taking it off the charger too quickly I took it off 2 hours early and put it in the gun, fired it, and was completely shocked to see broken pieces of plastic firing out of the barrel...it was the hop up. I tried getting all pieces out of the snow and examining which parts they were in the blown up diagram, and seeing as they werent necessary to the operation of the gun I gave it another go and it was firing fine (not exactly accurate though) for about half the magazine, then the battery died out. I had thought it was the gun because no matter how many times I charged it, it would only make a clicking sound in the grip, I assumed it was broken.
My birthday was rolling around in April (2009) so I thought I had another chance for a gun if I asked for it from my dad and not my mom this time. I had gotten a JG M4S-system for my birthday that came with an off brand ACOG replica that was just a dot sight, and earlier in March (2009) my brother had gotten his first gun which was an off brand AK-47. I believe it was around that time I had joined this site and was looking for players around my area so I could start playing in a group. The first games I had played were against my brother in the very start of the summer in 2009, which started out as the "pain test". We knew that we both would eventually get shot by these guns so we might as well know what it feels like to get shot by the guns. We headed to our backyard and shot eachother at the count of 3. Me having bought a Tac-vest and 2 masks didn't feel anything as the bbs bounced off my vest, nor did my brother feel anything in his hoody, so we played on. As time flew by I had gotten another M4 so another one of my friends could play too. Around the time I bought this gun I had found a post on here about airsoft around houghton, which is where my dad lives. They recommended I check out their facebook page where they schedule their recreational games that are free and anyone is invited as long as there is eye protection.
The group plays every sunday whenever the weather isnt wet, so the following sunday came and I found myself in the very first "big" game that comprised of around 20 people at an abandoned cheese factory. Everyone there was older than me and when they saw me they asked about my age and I told them, which they kind of shrugged off, because they have never seen me before. I played 3 games after that before the season was over and it was too wet/cold to play. I am now eagerly waiting for next season to start so I can play again.
Near the end of february I had went on vacation to Hawaii where my mom gave me 200$ spending money, which I had spent on my first GBB...a Tokyo Marui hard kick desert eagle, from a local shop (had it shipped obviously). I will be getting a guarder silver body kit for the desert eagle and eventually a new hop up for the G36.

I spent most of my childhood studying war. Due to some issues, I never had a social life. I remember shooting KWC 1911 and P226 models with my dad when I was 10. I didn't get into airsoft until someone I knew from school brought me into his field. We'd mess around with spring shotguns, lpegs, etc. At one point I got my trusty TM Famas F1, happy day indeed. As the years progressed, I spent a lot of time on ASR and eventually here, reading everything that got posted. It was not until Flash Fire 3 that I ever played at a real game. Canto, you were pretty much my first friend there, your kindness to me was incredible. My collection growed, my ties to the Michigan grew stronger.
Now, I'm stuck balancing school (college soon), family, and being on two forums. I get to games when I can, and I have a blast meeting everyone. You all trully make this hobby my passion.

My fourth grade summer I was introduced to a clear spring rat-flail. The next day my friends and I got a ride to MC Sports, we picked out the coolest guns we could find for under twenty bucks. We all took a corner of a buddies yard and we started shooting, leaving your corner was unheard of. Fast forward. Sixth grade summer, my friend Victor and I Google "Paintball places in Kalamazoo" come up with Hole In the Wall Paintball. After several phone calls I understand what to bring and when to go. We head up and start to play speedball, I find this fast paced and kind of boring. I discover woods ball, the only problem being what kind of paintballer likes woods ball? We could usually only get together 4 on 4 when having multiple 7 on 7 games wasn't uncommon for the speedball games. Fast forward another two years. I just registered on the forums, I have around ten posts and my warning level is 50%. My sisters boyfriend comes back from boot camp shortly after arriving he brings his new JG M-16. He see's my interest and invites me to the next game, I borrow a clone MP5 from a friend and head out wearing some athletic pants and a black hoody. I get raped. I search the internet to learn more about these peoples gear and guns. I Google "Airsoft Armory's in Michigan" I find Armory Airsoft and spend the year trolling their website. I eventually purchase a JG MP5 and stay in close AIM contact with John. I later found out I was very annoying as a small child. Somewhere in here I bought my SAW from some random guy on the forums for $200 straight cash. Fast forward another year or so, I am driving down to Blast Camp for OP: Street Wars. Once down I recognize Tex, Jager and John as well as some old guy that forgot a box mag for me to rent(Easy ), the same people I have been seeing at the last four or five events. They recognize me and invite me into their crew. I was the only other person that dressed up and I had fun rolling with the 'cool team'. I get a call from John inviting me to the team, I am very excited and join. Fast forward to the present. I have built friendships that will last me a lifetime, I hang out with people like Glass, John and Jack as well as Tex and the others. On a regular basis. and airsoft has quite honestly changed my life. 800 some posts later I am getting to know most of he big name players on here fairly well and my gear and gun collection is constantly growing (more-so gear;]). My parents trust them fairly well and usually don't mind if I'm gone for long periods of time with these guys. Despite my younger age I am never excluded from events and have attended multiple 18+ MILSIM games hosted by several different teams. In the future I would like to become a Space Marine and snipe Osama Bin Laden from the International Space Station. Koko brings those wine in a box things to parties. The Hellfish DO drink wine.

I won't write out my entire story, because it's already here somewhere, but I never thought I'd have a premium AEG because I didn't want to deal with batteries. Currently I own: i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh72/kotsteph/Armory/S1051800.jpgand owned 4 other AEGs before that. You never know what the future holds.
