Ladies/Gents, in preparation of our new field opening, I'm posting this info about it. The attached (if it uploads) is our temporary flyer that will be going out around our area and in the local newspaper (Flint Journal).
At our field unveiling we're doing a "Battle for Fallujah" reenactment - several units will be there that were involved. A specific date will be posted here on MiA, on our web site and on our Facebook page. This is a media covered event and we'll have a few special guests and manufacturers.
Details follow:
Operation Scenario
Time: 1800 (Friday), 1000 - 1800 (Saturday), 1000 - 1500 (Sunday)
Location: Fallujah Iraq (Red Grin Field)
Uniforms:
OpFor: Black, woodlands/OD
Coalition: ACU, Multicam, Deserts (digital/analog)
Operation Details:
"The Battle for Fallujah" is an operation scored on points for various objectives completed. Team work and unit cohesion is essential for successful mission completion. Unit leaders will be briefed on the various objectives which must be completed.
Friday is the opening ceremony, introduction of key Red Grin members, Red Grin's guests of honor and a brief on Saturday and Sunday's operations followed by a special presentation and entry of Red Grin Tactical's members (surprise). Sunday will mostly consist of non-operational games, finale and prize give aways.
The entry fee is $40 and $45 at the gate for walk-ins. Team discounts (4+) are available. The entry fee includes 2 meals for Saturday and Sunday and 5000 0.20 gram BBs.
Operation Situation:
After major operations in 2003, a once peaceful area in Iraq - the city of Fallujah - was slowly being overtaken by insurgents. As coalition forces focus on the area in order to divert control back to the local population, a new battle enrages. The insurgency is far from willing to give up their last strong hold stock piled with weapons and IED's, and offers heavy resistance; attacking from afar, cowaring behind crowds, using children, mortars, IEDs and other heinous methods.
As the battle of Fallujah rages on, the already strained coalition forces are cut off from their supply routes and recent intel indicate that they run the risk of being overtaken by the insurgency.
Your mission is to link up with coalition forces, provide enforcement and supplies and secure both main objectives - take control of the supply routes (the North End bridges) and the main government buildings to the South. Expect concentrated small arms fire, snipers, IED's and mortar fire. Depending on your skills, team work and tactics, the city of Fallujah finally can be freed from the plaging insurgency and peace and calm can be restored at once.
[flyer end]
Please note the dates on our flyer are tentative as we're still waiting on delivery of a couple of our buildings, so it might run out to mid-May or even the latter part of May.
