In answer of all the feverish PM's I've been getting, I'm proud to announce that TJ from Young's in GR has secured a 5-year contract on the epic field in Lowell. Games will start in early April!
Because of the unprecedented length of the contract, we're going to be able to do more badass stuff to the field... plans are in the works for a trench system, a more complete city, and more...
Anyways, we will be walking the field this week, figuring out what we're going to do for the field. We will be offering players free games in exchange for help with the field, once we figure out what direction we're taking.
We also look forward to hosting 2 big events, as opposed to the single big one (Warlord II) we did last year. I'm currently working on scenarios for those. And just like last year, we're committed to bringing you a great time for only ten bucks!
Hope to see you all again this year, any questions, just let me know.
Kustom, Young's Army/Navy FAH

We'll be taking some pics of the field walkthrough when we get out there this week. It'll show the field without all the crazy brush that make it such a deathtrap for the unwary....
We'll probably start working on the field either this saturday or next week, depending on my schedule...

Kustom, could you set up some dates so those of us who live close can assist; I for one would be willing to come out with a pick-axe and start diggin' holes.

For sure. Once I get an idea of what needs to be done, and get my schedule hammered out, we should be good to go on times and days. Most likely, it'll be fri/sat, something like that. We're treating the field as a work in progress, so it won't have to be complete before we start running games on it.

Is this ACO's old field?

Yes, it is. It's the Lowell field were ACO, WMI and now FAH/Youngs have run games. Some good memories to be had there. Mostly of the time(s?) Rogue shit in the woods. Personally, I'd be happy to see some of the back 40 thinned out a bit, namely the path to the Mortar complex (if you're still calling it that) and off to the north a bit til you hit the state land. Oh and perhaps some sort of boundary markers so certain large North American land mammals don't wander off again.

@ Thor: Yeah, we cleaned up a lot of the brush on the Mortar Complex trail, and it's pretty easy to get back there now... We also made up a new badass bunker close to the back hill by Simon's, dug the bunker out about 3 feet with about a foot of sandbags, more to come over there too...
@ Littlecyclone: If I get the job I'm gunning for, Monday and Tuesday will be out for me, but I knwo some other FAH guys have time during the week, I'm sure we could organize a work party on one of those days.
Thanks for all the help guys, I should have a schedule soon!

Oh, he's still kickin' around, same 'ol Simon. If you come out to a game, I'm sure you'll see him, he still loves the Airsoft scene.

Awesome, so I know you have rights to the field but TFI would LOVE to host an event there. That is after all where we got our start! If you're willing to let us we would be willing to help develop the field (man hours). I would love to talk to you more about it if you're interested.
Cheers,
TFI

I'd have to get with the man with the money on our end, but I'm sure he'd be fine with it!
