What is with the recent trend where there are two teams, U.S Army and Generic Rebels, which are too fine teams in a MilSim event, but the part that makes it a bit strange and kind of messes it up for me. Is why is it that the U.S Army team is never the ACU team, but the generic Rebels always are? It seems quite odd, especially in a MilSim event that the rebel team usually ends up looking more like the Army than the Army team.
So please event hosters explain to me why you do this?

ACU is on green for the majority of Armory Airsoft's events. If youwant less generic teams go to OP: Street Wars 2, Mobsters VS. Police.

I agree with Troub. on this one. All the current issue(U.S. military)uniforms should be on the U.S. side(depending on the scenario). All others should be, well, the other side. It would make for a more interesting mil-Sim game.

Its hard to do that, because not everyone has enough other camo for it. Believe me, you're barking up the tree that I've wanted to cut down for YEARS. The problem is, no one wants to do a US v Russian game as Russians if they HAVE to go purchase Russian camo.
Honestly, ACU and the MARPAT's vs. Everything else would be pretty legit.

I'm not sure about that Rel., I bought acu's, marpat and russian kamysh uniforms and spent less than $200.00 for all. But that was before Russian surplus pricing went through the roof.

I think you guys are missing my point, I am not talking about super rare camouflages being needed. I am talking about the everyday camouflage most everyone has... ACU. Why is it never actually on the side that is the U.S Army side?

In most events I've been to, the most common is woodland. Why stick the green with the grey?

Def understand where you're coming from troub....
The problem is that "most" of the common camo that everyone seems to have is either woodland BDU's, tri-color desert BDU's, woodland MARPAT, desert MARPAT, ACU, and then the minority that have the wild card... Multi cam... Just to fit the generic green vs tan with whatever teams it would end up being U.S (green) vs U.S. (tan)... Which unless we're doing a American Civil War II future scenario (future event idea?) there's just no way we can really have U.S. vs Russia, or rebels or whatever other country or faction unless everyone had all those other camos....
And lately at least in the games I've played where ACU has been teaming up with green, which for the given scenarios made complete sense it's kind of thrown the whole traditional tan vs green off...
But how you gonna throw a game with the U.S forces of one of the main based colors together vs everything else? for the most part the majority of us on MIA all got some sort of U.S based camo whether it's one color or the other.
Unless you have a contractor loadout, or are part of Conscript and his band of Ruskies I can only think of a few individuals on here that wear other non U.S. camos...

Not all of us rock US duds. I have em, but recently, I've been wearing my Flecktarn like its nobody's business. Its just like, my favorite pattern.

I agree with troub.
I would say here in Michigan most green cammos have the upper hand with most fields. Obviously there will be a couple here and there where some "tan" BDU's will be better, but more the most part green is the win.
I guess most people setting up milsims just think of the US team having the advantage, and starting them with green. If you want, you can refer to traditional games like "army men" where the friendly forces were always green plastic guys, and the enemy was tan.
I do suppose I would like to see a tan US force invade a green Russian force, but most people don't set up their games that way. I really don't think it would be that difficult if you don't REQUIRE Russian cammos. You could just set up green (woodland, od, pcu, etc) to be the russian team, and have the US dress in acu, d3c, desert marpat, etc.
I guess that is just my input on the topic.

Green teams may have the upper hand, until they get walked all over by the tan team.

Or when the green team does it to tan, i.e. Black Eagle II

Ok, I kinda have to agree with Troub, especially for Black Eagle III. Tex, stop being such a fool. Why does the US team have green (does any part of the US military even use green camos anymore?) whereas the rebels wear ACU, 3-color BDUs, etc...?
