i am looking for a new gbb, and was wondering if anyone knew the best place to get one. i was looking at WGC, i wanted to know if anyone has ordered from them before. i really want a gun w/ trademarks, but did not know if tape or non-permanent puddy was safe.

Ive made an order to WGC and selected removable putty. Then they emailed me the reciept and changed my order to tape. They said it would be better also to get the barrel painted so it dont get ceized. Also, you can just tel the to put tape then a chunk of putty ontop to make it look like it was covered by putty!!!

Ill tell you in 3 days about when i get it ok? Otherwise I think WGC is great on service. If you dont get it you get it because it gets ceized then you get a refund.

i thought the refund did not count because airsoft is "technically" illegal in michigan. is it really illegal, or am i misinformed? i really am not quite sure.

Airsoft is not illegeal in Michigan. Michigan has a messed up system and dont know there own bb gun law. It is legal as long as you have the orange paint on the barrel and trades covered but a lot of guns, with the right technique can get threw.

So what your saying is that they have to sell it with orange, so when you get it you can remove the paint? Its illegeal though, right?

Orange isn't required once it's inside the US. Look at the Airstrike "Softair" pistols from Daisy.
You can take off the orange *at your own risk*.

It is legal to remove the paint after you buy it, but you must repaint it if you intend to sell it again.
i'm basing this off of the confinscated guns that were returned, even though they didn't have the orange paint.
just remember that discharging a bb gun (airsoft included) is illegal in Ann Arbor, in which it is appearent that you live, or atleast very close, as harry's is your local military surplus store.

Solid Snake, I'd be careful giving out such advice on matter like this... The only way to be absolutely positive your guns will get into the country legally (and if inspected by Customs), is to have the proper shade of permanent orange, and permanently removed trademarks. Now, we all know most orange is removable, and most trades recoverable, with some effort....but legally, they are both supposed to be permanent. Hell, there were reports this summer of Customs seizing guns for having the wrong color of orange, so they can get picky if they want to. Also, I don't think there is any written rule that says Customs has to or will return any merchandise to the retailer if it doesn't meet importation requirements. Do you think if they seize a container full of drugs that they'll just stamp "Return To Sender" on it and send it back? If they find an item that does not meet their requirements, they can seize and confiscate/destroy it. If you're lucky, they might send it back to your retailer and order them to comply the next time they send it.... if you're lucky. Do you think an overseas retailer is going to turn away a customer who asks about attempting to import an item with improper markings? No, they'll send it however you ask, and then if something happens they won't be held responsible for it, and can keep your money while your item gets seized. This is not a dig at WGC, as I've dealt with them before and will again. It is however a warning to not always take retailers at their word, especially when dealing with ones outside the US. Also, something to be aware of when making overseas orders (listen up Anthony), is that Customs is now actively enforcing import duties. I believe that anything with a value of $250 entering the US is legally supposed to be charged fees/duties. Certain retailers will offer to list half-value of the items in your order, but this can get you into all sorts of other areas of trouble. When you think about making a large order, take into account the possible money you might have to pay after you get the stuff, when a bill from your shipper arrives! Of course, all these seizures and fees will only apply if Customs actually bothers to check your package(s) out.... there's no way they can look at everything coming into the country, so if you're feeling lucky you can get away with certain things.

what is the percentage of packages customs even checks out? is it a random thing, or is it a systematic procedure?
