well if fps doesnt help then how much would a decent hop-up system, bucking, nub and barrel cost and which gun would you recommend? Depends on what gun we're talking. You want a sniper rifle, correct? A good starting point is the TM VSR-10 series rifles. Stock they shoot only like 280 FPS, so for a sniper rifle you'd need to upgrade. If you're on a budget you can drop in a ~400 FPS spring and at least one new sear (I think there are two different sears, and upgrading one of them is a good idea, I just don't recall which one would be best to reinforce first). Then a good tightbore will be $50-60 and if you wanted a new hop-up bucking is like less than $10. You should get pretty good range and accuracy with that setup, and if I recall correctly the TM VSR-10 series hop-up is awesome, so even shooting only like 400 FPS you'll be able to outrange most AEGs.

Why dont u take a gander at the JG Bar-10. Bolt action sniper that shoots around 400 out of the box. You should be able to get a new one for under 200 bucks and if you've the money, upgrade accordingly.

ive been shot with bb guns at 1000 fps and although i suffered severe brain trauma and went into a coma due to blood loss from the gaping hole in my skull, its not as bad as it sounds, all i want is a yes or no. Also i apologize if i sound like im trying to hurt someone but im relatively new to airsoft so im just shopping around for info, trying to find out how to shoot someone at 600 feet and make them bleed without spending $600 on upgrades. I vote to bring this thread to the Hall of Shame!

I vote to bring this thread to the Hall of Shame! Well, given the recent influx of "Priceless" thread around here lately, I don't think the forum would have enough bandwidth for a Hall of Shame section.

No Airsoft has a different meaning for everyone, yes a lot of it is military simulation but whats wrong with a little fun while your playing? For my friends and I it was a cheaper solution than paintball and better than shooting each other with BB guns. By the way if you didn't realize this by now, half the time the reason people don't call out hits in Airsoft is because THEY CANT FEEL IT! An Airsoft gun at 700 fps wouldn't kill or fataly injure you no matter where you where shot and if you where at least 20 feet away from someone, the worst it would do is leave a mark like a paintball gun, which im sure we have all played, or maybe get embedded in your skin which really isn't all that bad. As a last note before I am done with thread and all concerning my "unsafe Airsoft play" i will say this ALL WHO ARE AFRAID OF BEING SHOT WITH THIS RIFLE SHOULD GO BACK HOME TO THEIR MOMMIES! Moreover if anyone gets offended by this then you just proved my point, I am not promoting regulation play with this airsoft gun I am asking the questions that you are all too afraid to ask because of the fear of getting banned or harassed by others about how "unsafe" it is. We have all done something dangerous when we were teenagers (which I am) whether it be bombs or an obsession with fire, and now that I am aware of what asking a question will get me I am just going to go somewhere else.

Wow, just wow. We (MiA) have tried to point you in the correct and safe direction and you are obviously not getting it. I myself have tried to steer you in the right direction as well by replying to the PM you sent me thinking that my post about having the linked gun was true and yet you still are being thick headed. You are welcome to have your uber-1337 700 fps "Sniper" rifle, but if you show up to a game that I, or any other MiA member who cares about FPS limits is at, expect one of us to break your gun in half and send you home. Hurting people with airsoft replicas is the quickest way to draw more un-needed negative attention to the sport and eventually get it banned. Most level headed players do not want to hurt anyone while playing and nor should you.

I am not promoting regulation play with this airsoft gun Bullshit. im not trying to hurt people, i just want my airsoft bb to fly far and actually hit someone without getting sprayed by an automatic first. Its very simple if my enemy is too far away to hit me but i can hit him then i get a major advantage and yes i do carry a sidearm for close distances. okay im am well aware of this, but its just me and my friends and i have many airsoft rifles to choose from for a field, so please do not keep stating how dangerous it is because the sweeds use airsoft rifles from 600 to 700 fps and they seem to be doing just fine, so if you dont have anything you have to say that helps to my question then please dont post. By the way if you didn't realize this by now, half the time the reason people don't call out hits in Airsoft is because THEY CANT FEEL IT! We have all done something dangerous when we were teenagers (which I am) whether it be bombs or an obsession with fire... OK, so, by those above quotes I can tell that you WANT to use it in a game yet you are fully aware it's dumb. I am just going to go somewhere else. Good, you won't be missed. We don't need unsafe players in our community. Lakeshore would be fully willing to take you in however, they play with absolutely no restrictions on eye wear or FPS.

Wow, I knew you were a dumb fuck when I met you at the East Vs. West game, blackace, but jesus... Nothing else needs to be said but, GTFO. We don't need people like you.

If you are hit in the temple at 350 FPS or higher you can die... I heard a guy was shot there and he was put unconscious...

If a person is just wareing full seal goggles and not a full face mask (which is allowed), 700 fps is going to blow their teeth out and if they find out its from a 700 fps gun, you'll be paying the medical bills. What you want to do shouldn't be done. Enough said.

By the way if you didn't realize this by now, half the time the reason people don't call out hits in Airsoft is because THEY CANT FEEL IT! Umm...what? Have you ever been to an airsoft game? Yes, sometimes people don't call their hits because they can't feel it, but most of the times people don't call their hits because they're cheating dumbshits. WHAT? Wait, are you serious? Dude, I've been shot twice by a sniper rifle shooting ~525 FPS in close ranges (once was about 20 feet, the other was about an inch) and both times the bb got embedded in my skin a bit and now I have two 6mm size scars that will never go away. Luckily both times I was shot in the arm/hand so nothing really serious could come of it. But if you shoot somebody in the temple or neck with a 700 FPS gun you could seriously injure them. THAT'S why it's unsafe. i will say this ALL WHO ARE AFRAID OF BEING SHOT WITH THIS RIFLE SHOULD GO BACK HOME TO THEIR MOMMIES! Moreover if anyone gets offended by this then you just proved my point, I have nothing else to say I don't even know how to respond to this. Clearly you're too immature to be playing airsoft seriously, so I hope you can be serious about leaving. And you won't be welcome at any MiA sponsored events, so I would suggest not even bothering to show up unless you've also gown up.

Haha this is ALMOST as sad as the kid who posted the pic in the gallery of his mesh face mask and had the rather disturbing Myspace.
