From what I was told your land is pretty small Shadow.

Yeah, it's only about 27 acres of playable area.37 in all. Mostly flat. I'm working on making log bunkers and Rednight and I are building modular walls for shoot houses. Add a little spice. It's up to you guys. If i get no takers, I'll just keep it small games myself. I'll also be working on getting written permission from the owner of the land across from the runway. This would add at least 20 more acres of playable area; though there are no trails running through it. That would make a playing area of at least 45 acres, mostly wooded. Besides, how many other real airports do you have lined up!

I've seen a map of your place, I must of missed the runway. Are there any hangers or buildings already in place?

Yeah, the maps I posted only show the Eastern half of the property. I did that to zoom in more on the playable area only. The whole property is twice that size. There is a lit runway and the hanger is on the bottom left of the pictures.

Oldmanjay,
I see you have already been warned once. So, I'll be brief with this. Please start using your 'Shift' key to capitalize in your posts. I see periods and commas but no capitalization. Please start doing that; or else someone less friendly than me will be reminding you.

I don't think I'll ever charge for admittance. But that's not saying anyone who wants to host the game at the area can't. They'd just have to take full liability for the event first though.

Shadow, I flew over your field on Friday night. And Nice runway.
Speaking of planes, my only fear (being a aircraft owner) is that some dumb shit would actually take a few shots at the plane as it was landing or taking off.
After all, most aircrafts are make out of aluminum or tube and rag. One BB's punching a hole, or putting a ding into the aluminum could cost $$$$'s of dollars in repair.
So, unless the game was with a small group of people that everyone knew and trusted, I don't think you'll get many aircraft flying in and out during a game. ...atleast not mine.

I can only see potential hazards and problems by including any aircraft in an airsoft game. As awsome as it would be to jump from a chopper to the roof of a building, all fun and games, and perhaps lives, would be swiftly ended if something went wrong. On a side note though, a few small empty hangers and airstrip would make a interesting field for a milsim game.

I agree with both of you. That's why, I would leave it up to the owners to use their machinery at their own risk. Also, I would put up small flags and paint the ground around the drop-off point about 300 feet out. No BBs can enter or leave from this point. That would help make entering and leaving an aircraft a lot safer since people won't be rushing in and out. While in or near an aircraft, you are the owner's/pilot's personal property. You do as he/she says or I will pummel you into oblivion. Then kick your ass out.
Anyone running between the lights = immediately kicked out of the game.
Anyone caught shooting from an aircraft, around an aircraft, or toward someone entering/leaving an aircraft = immediately kicked from the game.
Anyone caught shooting at, toward, or hitting an aircraft = permanent ban + I'll let the owner know who you are and ask that they don't leave too big of a mess after they destroy you.
I could say that, if the wind co-operates, players loading and unloading the aircraft will be on the West side where no players, except for those going to or from the aircraft, may travel. This "DMZ" if you were, would have rules such as no firing to or from and that you must treat it like a safety zone. That would include the mags, safety, etc.
I know these remedies won't guarantee that they won't happen. I'd like to hear other's input on this.
Another thought: there is a large pond in the center of the property and a large hole that is in the Northern field. I think, for more genuine milsim experiences, having an extended game time (more than 12 hours) and not allowing people to use water from the house could be a lot of fun as long as both teams have means ofr filtration/sanitation. Guarding the water so that your team can drink could be a vital and realistic objective. I know I have iodine tablets and two water purifying pumps. What do you guys think about this?

Limiting water is, quite possibly, one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard of for an airsoft game.
Seriously, I wouldn't go to any game where I may just drop dead because my team couldn't "capture" water. Another one of those ideas that sounds good on paper, but really just fails out in the field.

Ok, scratch that then. I get your point. Maybe just a side objective? But people would have all the water they need to drink, just loose a player every ten minutes if they don't have water.

That is in my neck of the woods. I would be interested in helping out any way that I could to make it a good field to Milsim at.

I remember Hollywood saying at a game that if anyone passed out from lack of water, he was gonna piss on them. I'd rather not take that chance.
