Yo, first post here but I've been lurking around for a while. Just getting into airsoft, my first gun just arrived yesterday. It's a WE-Tech Hi-Capa 5.1 Government Model.
I fired several magazines yesterday, and had field stripped it several times to adjust the hopup. At the end of the day while I was just messing around with it, I noticed that the slide lock was very loose.
Loose enough that unless I have the gun straight up and down, or slightly leaning to the right when I cock it, the slide lock drops out partway and stops the slide from coming back. I need to get some resistance on the slide lock but I'm not sure how I should go about doing it. Haven't been able to find anything about other people having this issue, I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Sound like the slide stop is broke. Does it look like this? It should have that little tab to keep it against the slide. If it has that then there is a small plunger in the body that thats hold it in place also. Like this.

Hmm, it has the tab to keep it against the slide but i dont see a plunger anywhere :/
I don't seem to remember anything like that in the frame, like I can't imagine how I wouldn't have noticed a part falling out, and I don't see anything around any of the places I had the gun taken apart. It definitely fit fine at first, though.

YES I FIGURED IT OUT OK I totally misunderstood the plunger thing. Once when I disassembled it the safety came off, and that whole assembly popped out of the gun. I thought the small plunger was supposed to lead down into the spring and so I reassembled it incorrectly. Everything is fine now Thankyou for the help!

This should be moved to the new quick fixes section by a moderator.
