I agree with you d4mnit. I just wanted to know about his background. And now I do. I doubt I would be able to go to one of these being a full time student with a full time job but it's not a bad idea.

they just walked out? thats so arrogant... saddly it sounds all too familiar to what has happened in detroit...many times....a false sense of security caused by ignorance, arrogance or indifference is often fatal

Look, Redknight, its not that we doubt your credentials. I myself am a PFC in the U.S. Army. I admire, and quite frankly am honored, by the fact that you are willing to share your experience with us. At MiA we are a tightly nit, diversely populated community of Marines, Navy, Airforce, Army, and civilian airsoft hobbyists. We are however, not unfamiliar with people who say they are more than they really are. Usually when we encounter new people who are going to host a event of boisterous proportions, we are a bit skeptical at first.
I would love to attend your event. I'm always up for learning something new. But I don't know you. So before I commit to an event entirely on the word of someone I don't know perhaps it would help if we had a brief history of your experience?

Let the man respond people. I don't want to see another comment or quip out of anyone until he's listed his credentials. Which I feel is very fair.
RedKnight, don't take us asking for your background as an offense. We just want to know something about you.

Kazz, thank you for continuing to serve.
CantoXII, Thank you for the fresh air in here. To answer your question, I was active for 4 years, in Kentucky, Texas, Korea, and Georgia, then served another 4 in the guard where I finished up trained as an instructor herre in Michigan. I moved on to Lawenforcement and now have 8 years in the D, where I grew up. I had a little more than 10 years of experience working with the Boyscouts of America after returning from the military, I taught a variety of outdoor/survival related skills, prior to the military I had experience working for them teaching shooting sports related merit badges. I have been cross trained for multiple differnt assignments in the military and received a variety of in-service training through my Department.
Snafu, I hope that you aren't actually angry dude, seriously I was just having a little fun ... lets just squash it ok? for the record I am not an asshole, I am THE ASSHOLE! But seriously , lets try and be friendly.
Kazz, thank you for continuing to serve, God bless America, and all who serve to keep her safe!

I'm not very active around here anymore but those of you who have been here a while will remember me. I'm just going to post one quick thing I just paged through this thread and here's my impression.
This guy out of the blue offered a *free* service to the community by invitation. He provided a fair bit of evidence that he is indeed who he claims. Since when has it been his charge to prove himself just to have the privilege to give away a service out of the kindness of his heart. I understand *wrong* training is worse than no training, but remember that this is just a game. There are plenty of tactics in airsoft that have no natural transition to real steel and there always will be. If you have a concern that you may be learning a tactic for a *game* that may not be correct then don't go, or for that matter don't ask to go(since it is by invitation).
Also this guy is rather new to the community and it seems like he's willing to share what seems to be a wealth of information for the right price of free. I say if you think it's interesting then go for it.
If anyone has questions to ask to confirm who he is ask him via PM or some other place and keep this thread on topic. I'm going to go through and do some cleaning of comments and we'll get this back on track.
If anyone has a problem with the way this was handled my PM box is open, though I don't check it often.
Welcome to the forums Redknight.
Luke

Sorry to get off on the wrong foot RedKnight. I really do respect that you are trying to do something to help people. I realized even with your first post that you put your own time in typing this all up and trying to organize something that you have volunteered to do.
Fighting over the internet is just plain silly so my bad.
