Word from GreyFox is we won't be able to have a game till around late next month, or just into April. The field is too flooded from the melted snow and rain combination.

I love coming to the SFOD field as it has great buildings and rolling terrain. I hate coming to SFOD because the games always start 1-2 hours late.
Why do the games start late?
1. All the lazy ass people that mosey onto the field completely unprepared to play. I live 2.5 hours away from the field and I get there at least 30 minutes early so I can don my gear and get chrono'd so I can get a full day of trigger time. People need to get to games on time and ready, that might mean you need to load your mags and charge your batteries the night before! I don't want to hear any flaming that you don't have time for this. I work 60+ hours a week and I have a home to keep up so I think you can find time to be prepared like me.
2. SFOD caters to the lazy ass players and waits for everyone instead of taking care of the players who are prepared. I have a couple solutions: A. If a game starts at nine and you are late the field fee goes up a dollar or two. B. The game will ALWAYS start on time, the late people can wait to be inserted into the game at a predetermined time(say 1 hour after the game starts).
If people know that you will wait for them to start the games how do you expect to fix the problem?
If you can't tell this really pisses me off.

I agree with solution B. It really sucks getting there an hour early, paying to play, then waiting an hour or so for everybody else to get there. I think having two chronos would help some. There always seems to be a ridiculous line for the chrono.

The line is there because everyone is dicking around in the parking lot for so long.

I kind of agree with Big C on this but then I've only been there twice. Huge crowd both times and I know that it's tough to get that many people moving in the same direction. I guess it might have something to do with us older(in my case-WAY older!) players being more organized and arriving on scene, ready to roll. I take great pride in that and spend a lot of time before I even leave the Manor getting things around so once I get there,I'm G to G and in the spirit of Mil-Sim,appear professional? Besides, once I'm gunned up I can seek out the other Asshats for some serious pre-mission grab ass while we wait for the kiddies to get up to speed.....
