Complaining about getting shot in the head doesn't do any good, because really, most of the time when you're behind cover returning fire, your head is going to be the only target, so it's to be expected. People have goggles and the option of a face covering, so shooting at heads when needed seems legit to me.
That sniper made a spectacular shot on me on the D-day game. I was sitting in a trench, just my head exposed, and he, from the city gate, nailed me in the head. Nice work dude.

My first game, Red Dawn, my very first kill was a shot in the cheek of a 55 year old with a P90. I felt like hell. He said it was part of the game.
if that man can take a shot in the face I think everyone else needs to balls up and do the same.
The guy shot me the hell up next round anyway. Atleast 20 rounds from that p90 in my side. I have nothing else to say.
ALSO, I have PERSONALLY taken the SFOD SAW/M60 IN THE FACE while crawling up the hill in my ghillie. Yeah... it wasnt on semi-auto. Its not like they ment to shoot me 50 times in the face. Its a saw. Its a support weapon for a reason.

About Heatshots, I try to be nice about it. I was on the upper floor of one of the buildings in the city that had a hole in the roof. I saw a kid run into a building and clearly was just standing there. I would have considered it a courtsey kill and was saying to him "Do you want to take the hit?" I said it about 4 times and then kinda waved my hand at him and he saw me and jerked down. Next time I wont be so courteous.

I don't mind headshots, it's the risk you run by not completely covering up your face. What I don't like is getting shot in the face with hot guns at close range, watch your engagement limits folks.

Thats what I agree with. ^ I don't really mind getting shot in the head or face, but when you pop your head out of a window or doorway and a n00blet who is on the borderline distance of his engagement limit gets a quick burst in your face (Or lip and cheeks in my case...I have nothing else to say) that hurts... Soliex and I had the same experience with giving people in second story windows a chance to "Call it" or surrender. In my case, as soon as they came back to planet earth and heard me asking them if they would like to get shot in the head instead or surrendering, they popped back inside and tried to return fire....I have nothing else to say. I figure if someone is looking at me within 30 feet and my gun is pointed to the ground or if their on my left or right side, I'm done and start walking back to the re-spawn. If you try to pull something on that person who has you, then you deserve to get lit up...I have nothing else to say

He gave it to my dad, and he gave it SFOD. Check with them. (A tall thin kid right?)

I was called dead at this event. I just took the kill and didn't mind. Also, I find it works better if you just call them out instead of ask. "Dude your out, I just didn't feel like digging the BB out of your skull. Go respawn" I have seen that work. At least on nooblets Im pretty sure. Questioning has never worked for me either. I took a 3shot to the sholder asking a guy if he wanted to call out because he peaked out the window and I was under it. He didn't see me till I asked and then he never called out. So i find the ordering them to call out works a little. Then again that can cause a debate.

I was on the second story of the embassy the first game and a guy popped is head up and I shot it. He then started telling me that I shot his head and I should have waited for abette shot an such. HE was way, way, way out of the engament reach. If you play airsoft and don't want your face shot then were a full paintball mask or something but don't complain when you get shot there.

Once in a while you'll get that guy who think that just because he see's someone before they see him, he can call them out. There was one certain gentlemen at the SFOD game I saw do this several times to people in windows from over 30 feet away. He would see someone shooting out a window, then just yell at them to take an out. This same certain gentleman also yelled and complained a whole lot whenever he got shot in the head, so I guess it's a package deal with these types of people. My personal belief on the matter is that if someone is outside your engagement limit, there is nothing to shoot but the head, and just calling them out MIGHT be debatable, go ahead and take the shot.

Were you on the green side? And were you on the bottom right side of trench? I hit someone in the head ( Not purposely, just only thing showing)

Head and face shots are rarely pleasant, but if it's all you have... it's cool. Unless it's SUPER close. If you have other options like a center mass shot, that's obviously the courteous and right thing to do.
People need to remember that we shouldn't want to hurt each other intentionally. There are plenty of other possibilities for injury in our hobby already. Just be smart, courteous and play hard, but above all else, be honest and have fun.

Crazyman, is exactly right face shots happen but they shouldn't be your first choice. Most of your mom's and dads well take you out of the game once they pay $450.00 to have your tooth replaced. If you don't believe me go ask them what they would do if it happened to you. Most parents think the game is not safe and really don't understand what it's all about. What comes around goes around. Most field owners don't want to get sued either. That is why Mr Moore makes kid's under 16 wear full face protection for that very fact.... Think about whats right for the field. I would hate to lose a great place like SFOD to play on. I spent about an hour talking with Mr. Moore last Saturday and he has real concerns about his property and how we all act when we are out there. Corey is the capt. But Mr. Moore is the boss he makes the calls whether we play there or not. Don't ruin it because you think it's cool to hurt people....
