OP: Red Dawn AAR Thread

Well, mods/admins, I didn't know if I was allowed to start a thread here, but figured I would get the ball rolling on this one. If it's wrong, feel free to do as you please with it.

I just wanted to say thanks to SFOD for an awesome event. Organization was a bit lacking at the start, but I didn't mind too much as it was my first OP of the new season. Once things got sorted out, it ran great and there were plenty of targets to shoot at. As always, the city rocked and I'm glad I stuck around to play a couple more late games.

Overall I think things went great. Pricing was a huge plus, as well as the overall atmosphere. I didn't hear too much bickering and no real problems with players getting into altercations. I would also like to thank SFOD staff for taking a hard line on goggles and safety in the staging area. I think the de-mag rule is great, and the zero tolerance rule on goggles ALWAYS being on when in the field is a great thing to see. The last thing any one wants to see is some one get hurt and the rules set forth help to avoid this.

Bravo on the OP fellas, and I had a great time. Looking forward to the next game at the field.

Really great game, special thanks to the SFOD guys for lenting me a bettery and using the quick charger.(Damn the chinese wall plugs). I had a great time.

Had a great time today. Got to meet new people, as usual. I was my first game of the season as well, and I thought it was handled very well.
It was my first game using the M249, and I went through around 10-12k bbs. *wallet cries*
I don't think I saw any issues with people not calling hits or anything, but come on Soviets, There were literally only like 20 of us who actually played.
Jump, I agree on the elevator, maybe a chairlift would work better though.

Great event. Thanks for another fun day team SFOD! Met some new people and had a good time playing. Can't wait to see some pics! I know Knief took a few with me in it.

Only downside I would say is that there was a bit of down time but compared to most other events I've attended..it really wasn't bad at all.

I'm getting sick of my MP5 acting up though ...had to spend the whole lunch break fixing the feeding issue.

retty awsome event, i didnt even know thisplace existed till bout a week ago. it was amazing playing there thank u SFOD! i thought the game went really well. aside fm the respawn mix up at the beginning. that was fixed really quick tho and seriousely russians..... we coulda got in the fight a lil more. all in all it was sweet and i had a great time. i met a crap load of cool people and it was pretty sweet wen thy wold folow u arod and trust u with orders. thanx again SFOD! ill be commn back for shure.

Had a great time today. First time playing at SFOD, and the field is absolutely awesome. You guys have made an awesome field. Atmosphere was great, and I didn't have to many problems with players and hits/respawning. I think respawns need to be more clearly defined. I wasn't enthused about the Soviet players putting rags/guns above their heads and walking from the spawn to the city. I think they should have to come around from the river end. All of this pertains to the second game, first game was just great I thought.

I had a great time meeting all of SFOD, Asshats, Knief, Puckhunter, Dahm and many others today. Great to finally put faces to all of your names on here.

Looking forward to seeing pictures from everyone. Also, an escalator should be a top priority for that hill.

I had a blast! You guys always put on a good show. Very cool to finally get to hand out with the people I've been talking to online in person: Ghast, Knife, Dahm, Knief, Mosin, Tex and the rest. Had a 4:1 k/d so I was pretty happy about that, just gotta get on a new Pistol and get my gun shooting properly (jumping around from 330-180) Anyways, had a great time, especially crawling our way to the city with Knife, Dahm, Skypilot and all 'yall. 'Twas cool!

I had a ton of fun, I got to put more faces to names and had a ton of fun shooting those Americans. The Ruskies were a bit of a disappointment, I'm not gonna lie. And what the hell happened to the suicide charge in the 300 game? I would complain that there were too many people there, it seemed like a never ending stalemate. But nonetheless I enjoyed it. Thanks for a great OP, SFOD!

Corey, Eric, Gene, and the rest of the SOFD guys, Thanks the RATS that were there had a blast. Love the new stuff you guys have done to the field. Also liked the raising of the flags Good job today. One suggestion if I may? If your gonna have Commanders, pick them earlier in the morning. Then when the troops arrive the commanders can have a meeting and work out some attack/defend details. Telling the troops to follow orders and how important leap frogging is and suppression fire and maybe have a little more cooperation from them in the field.

Now for the real truth: I had so much fun, I'm sore ass HELL!!!
