To Hadoken, Ballista, Viking, and Retraw, post anything about the event here (they were there in addition to me . Here's my synopsis:
The five Airsofters + my dad met at the Arby's in downtown Howell at approximately 1200 hours. At about 1215 we left for Viking's house. In my estimation, at about 1245 or later, our first game was played. The teams were Ballista, Retraw, Newman (team one)vs. Hadoken, Viking (team two) and it was a standard elimination game. Team one wins. We switch sides, team one wins again. Next we played capture the flag on the top of the hill-team 2 defending flag. 5 lives for attacking team, 2 for defenders. Team one won the game again by eliminating the defenders. We switched sides, and Retraw joined team two. Ballista's gun wasn't doing too well, and I ran out of bullets in my mag (gave Hadoken my other hi-cap because he only has one standard), so I was forced to use my low-powered P8 (USP Euro. designation) pistol! Ballista was killed twice and was out of the game, I was killed by Hadoken, and when reincarnating Ballista handed me his M11. Shortly after entering the game, I wasted Hadoken from about 10 feet ;D Unfortunately, Retraw had taken the flag while I was reincarnating and team two won the game. Oh well....my team was 3-1 ;D After that game we went to a neighborhood gas station and bought some food and crap. When we got back, Viking's brother Michael was there and he played with Viking's new Tac Master gas pistol, he joined team one with Ballista & me. Now it was even with 3 vs 3, and we played another hill game, except someone forgot to put a flag down, so it was elimination. Team one totally dominated, I got-now I'm guessing here-but 5 or 6 kills that game! I killed Hadoken once or twice, Ballista twice, and Viking twice 8) I fricking love my ICS MP5SD6..Yay!. We played some regular elimination games after that, I think Michael had fun just shooting the Tac Master. Viking's battery died someone in there, and Ballista's guns just weren't working (stupid gas!), so Retraw, Hadoken, Michael, and I went at in a four-way free-for-all game. Me, being "the marked one", decided that I'd stand in the middle of the hill and wait for Retraw to try and get me, because of his limited range. Unfortunately for me, Hadoken decided that a bb had my name on it and took me out from my left...poor, poor Newman. We kinda decided that wasn't the most fun game (or I did ), so they all voted to play "Sniper". One poor sap gets an AEG and can only shoot semi-auto with 10 bb's. That poor sap, my friends, was me ;D. The others only use gas guns, by the way. Unfortunately for Michael and Hadoken, I would have the last laugh. After about two minutes of setting up behind a nice, camouflaged, downed tree, I yelled, "Ready!" and Hadoken and Michael carefully crept down the main path into my trap. Within about half a minute of the start of the game, Hadoken was taken out with an "incredible!"(Hadoken ) shot by me, from a loooong distance away. Michael had decided to bend the rules a little bit and borrowed Retraw's MP5PDW with it's insane ROF or like 1000 RPM. I kinda laughed because I don't think he'd shot it before. Another two bb's and Michael was toast. And you thought Newman was marked !!!
Hadoken and I had a couple of one on one matches in the dark next. It was impossible to see anything, so I just scanned everywhere and looked for any moving blobs of black "person". We had two rounds, and I got Hadoken with some lucky shots, in my opinion. Sorry Hadoken ;D That ended the event, and we headed off to Big Boy's for dinner.
All in all....the first Michigan Airsoft event was a total success, albeit a very large one! I can't wait for the next time we get together! *whistles to the tune of "The Longest Day"*
