Yup hes basically a thief. He's also the reason 21st couldn't get business in there store in Kalamazoo and had to close it (that pissed me off). He also over charges for just about every thing in his store. If you need camo or Mil surplus go to Gerber's much better store, better prices, nicer people, and its been around since the 50's and they're still open.

Gerbers is located on Westnage about 2 minutes from Youngs, its kinda hiden by 2 other buildings. I personally havent been there yet just because I'm lazy and dont have a car, but from what I have heard from my team is that they're cheaper, more sizes, and a lot nicer than Young's. As soon as I go there myself I'll post more about it.

It's almost on the corner of Westenage and Kilgore. About 2 miles from Youngs as darkkrutual mentioned.
It's right behind the A&W Root Beer stand and Outback Streak House. On the other side of the street there is a Discount tire directly across from Gerbers, Root Beer stand and Outback. If you see any of those, you are in the right place. You pull into the Root Beer stands parking lot, fallow it to the back and the back section is Gerbers parking lot.

i'm curious... if youngs is so bad and so much more expensive, how did they manage to steal away all of 21CA's buisness? it just doesnt add up in my head... so if someone would clarify, it would be appreciated. not trying to flame, just get informed for future purchases

Are you referring to the 21st Century in Galesburg/Augusta? If that is the case, chalk that up to location. Young's has been in that same spot for years, so the advantage of people knowing you are there. I was up to the 21CA in Galesburg. About 3:00 PM on a weekday in July. Closed. No sign that said closed, no posted hours, just a locked door and a dark room. There was no visable sign outside advertising this was even a store. A small banner on the side of the building, was about it. If no one knows you are there, customers will probably be sparse.

I like Youngs allot. The prices aren't necessarily the best, but, he throws the occasional free bb's,or speed loader, and the guys there know exactly what there doing. Its definitely the place to go for camo of any sort.

One thing Id like to say about the old Galesburg store is that the people wernt very freindly to new faces. If youve never heard about airsoft before, it would most likely stay that way after you left thier store.

I actually don't think he was referring to the Galesberg store.
I actually know the guys who ran that one though. They seem friendly to me. They come into Young's/Empire all the time for airsoft crap. I guess they are starting to play airsoft a bit more now. I keep meaning to call Travis to see if he wants to get a game together but I never have time.

BTW, just bought a G36 hopup from Empire. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I needed the part, so hey. Delivery was super fast, got it in about 2 days.

Well just bought a M15A4 carbine from young’s I am very happy with it. Was a little miffed at 1st because I didn’t realize it did NOT come with a charger or battery, Yes I am new to airsoft so don’t know if this is standard. Steve (KDOGG?) was great answered all of my questions and helped out a lot he put up with me on and off for the last couple of weeks as I was trying to decide which type to get and waited for my travel pay to get here from a recent trip I went on. I brought a Tippmann X7 Monday but am happier with the Carbine haven’t used the x7 yet can I bring it back and trade it in for another Carbine..
Over all service was great thanks for putting up with me.
