I did not see a thread about US Cav. So just wondering if we are happy with the service, or any service for that matter. I was thinking about ordering the Military Storm Boots from them.

Having been an Army brat i have had a lot of expirience with USCAV. When i was a young boy i used to carry around a USCAV catalog and look at stuff i wanted. I have been to the headquarters in Redcliff Kentucky (right outside Fort Knox) and USCAV is a huge operation. I have also been to the store in Clarksville Tennessee (right outside of Fort Campbell). I would trust them to the death.

I have been on hold for 20 minutes now.... and I still haven't talked to someone Update: Ok I have called again at 3:44 and almost instantly got an awnser I put in my original order on Saturday the 7th, later noticing I had made a mistake on color choice (monday was colombus day) I called back Tuesday the 10th and spoke to a woman who changed my order and said my goggles would be here today Friday the 13th. Here I am on the phone speaking with a customer service rep. who is telling me that they are shipping today > and I am very angry!! I need them before sunday! (Op. Flashfire) So as of right now I am giving Uscav.com an E!

I talked to them today on an issue I have with two orders and they(Beth, the call center manager in case you need some help) said that they have dropped a couple vendors because they can't seem to get any of their orders in.

Applesauce, chill out. I just spoke with my brother who's stationed there. He says that place is always busy, and it's possible they just had it on back order. Things like this happen, they aren't a mega store like Wal-Mart. This is a small mom-and-pop shop, as is much of the retailers for airsoft.
Honestly, and not to be a dick. You were the one that placed the order last minute. Heck I too placed and order for Operation FF and UPS failed to deliver them on time (and I was without additional mags.) It happens, and you have to learn to deal with it. Place your order with enough time before the event.
And if your so dissatisfied, call them back and cancel your order before it ships. Remeber your in control of the situtation, your the customer.

I ordered a week in advance and payed extra money for faster shipping. I'm not freaking out I'm just stating fact
Even though I got screwed over I would consider buying from them again, for the fact that Everyone on the phone was very courtieous even though I was being kind of rude, and they did compensate me for not getting me my order on time.

Once again, please remember they are Mom-and-Pop Shops. One week is 5 business days. Industry average for placing orders is two business days to ship. Then 2-3days for delivery.
Here's a simple break down of how a retail order store works. Day 1. 4:12pm - Customer calls, places order. 4:22pm - Phone call ended, payment verified. 4:23pm - Invoice is process or delayed until next business day.
Day 2. 09:00am - Invoice is processed by accounting and place in line with other orders. 09:01am - 2pm - Shipping and recieving people are busy working the store front. 2:30pm - Invoice is processed by shipping & recieving. 2:35pm - Order is placed on back order - store front sold the last item a 12:34pm 4:00pm - Backorder is placed.
or 2:35pm - order begins processed. 2:40pm to 3:30pm- store front becomes busy 3:31pm - order is finally process. will be shipped tomorrow since UPS truck arrives at 3pm.
Clearly one week isn't enough time. I suggest placing orders atleast 10 business days in advance before an event... you might have to return a defective item.
Please remember this retailer is a small mom-and-pop shop, and i'm sure the detail of events (listed above) play very close to their everyday business.

I agree I shouldhave put in the order earlier. But what I don't understand is, you keep saying it is a mom-and-pop shop when I have come to understand that they have multiple locations. +1 for giving me good advice

US Cavalry has multiple locations and a decent-sized staff. They aren't amazon.com, but they're big enough to do better. Relative to other stores in the industry, 3 days to ship an in-stock item is poor but not unheard of. For out of stock items, it's always a crap shoot. The customer service people generally don't know the difference between "out of stock until the next truck gets here" and "out of stock until the plant that makes them finishes filling that order for 500,000 that the military placed, and then clears the existing back orders, which may never happen."

got my stuff today, Beth combined the two orders and next day saturday delivered at no extra charge to me. It was a long wait but they helped me out.
They still need to have some more stuff in stock, but there might be a war going on or something that could be keeping their inventory low?!?
