Here's the short version: I recently ordered a BHI STRIKE Recon Chest Harness from Diamonback Tactical and they got it to me in a little over a week, via ground shipping from Cali. Here's the long version: I ordered the same product from Lightfighter at the beginning of December. After taking my money, they told me that the item was out of stock for undetermined amount of time. After 3 weeks, I found another dealer, www.optactical.com who said that they would have the item the Monday after Christmas. So, I cancelled with Lightfighter, went with OpTactical. Last week, I cancelled with OpTactical after having to email them asking about my order. They told me it was out of stock, for an undetermined amount of time. Sounds familiar, don't it? Motown and Hadoken both suggested Diamondback after I expressed my gear woes in another thread, and so I took the plunge, and emailed them. They said they had 4 in stock, and I ordered with them, and a week later, got my item. Phew! Now, the reason I gave them an A- is because they didn't send me any kind of confirmation that my item shipped. In fact, I didn't hear from them at all after I ordered. That made me a little nervous, but that fear was assuaged by the good recommendation I had gotten from two reputable geardos. ;D So, if you do order from Diamondback, which I recommend you do, never fear. They will get it to you.

I've made several orders with Diamondback Tactical and have received excellent customer service both over the phone and in emails exchanged with the company.
I too believe they should offer some sort of shipping confirmation or at least provide you with some sort of tracking info but it's not that big of a deal. As long as the item you're after is in stock you should be good to go.
Which brings me to another point. Every time I've ordered an item it was *gasp* in stock! That doesn't happen too often with tactical gear. ;D
So, to recap.
Pros: Great Service, Product Availability, Great Prices. Speedy Shipping. Cons: No shipping info by default (Although it is available if you email/call about your order)
A+ from me.
Edit: Jacko! New Gear! Gear Thread! NOW!!

I've ordered from them and have for quite a while (and have been touting them for a long time you losers ) Each and every time I've ordered from them, they've impressed even more than the last. Their fast shipping, competitive prices, and extra cool catalog, make them my first choice whenever I purchase any tactical gear.

You mean they won't let you wear tactical gear to work? psshh! What kind of place is that? Post some pictures when you get a chance. Did you order any pouches for your new vest?

I've got the vest here in my hot little hands, and have tried it on, but have yet to walk around the building wearing a plate carrier. ;D
I've already got all my pouches, actually. I ordered them from TT (Another great resource) and have had them for weks, waiting for the dang harness to show up.

ha HAH! I ordered a lot, and I mean a lot, of stuff from lightfighter EXACTLY 3 weeks ago. They too said all of the equipment was out of stock. Frustrated, I emailed them and asked them when it would be back in... they responded with "manufacture usually ships every 3 weeks..." so I waited. And waaaaalaaaaa, EXACTLY 3 weeks from my order all of the equipment has been shipped from lightfighter. Now I know that delay was inconvienient, but I have to compliment their precise ETA.

Just so you guys know, DBT is having a Paraclete blow out sale. If you need any modular pouches, all their Paraclete stuff is 30% off!

Additional Review: Store Site - www.store.yahoo.com/diamondback/I ordered a couple Blackhawk STRIKE pouches from Diamondback Tactical (referred to as DBT from here on). I ordered a triple M4 mag pouch and a small radio pouch. I called first to confirm that the items were in stock. I got through on the first try and was connected to someone in sales (one of the DBT sales gals) without waiting. They had both of the items I wanted in stock, so I placed my order over the internet. (I added a can of OD spray paint too). I had my items shipped FEDEX ground. I did NOT receive an email confirmation of my order. A couple days later, I still had not received anything (order confirmation or shipping confirmation), so I gave DBT a call. Again, no problems getting through or getting connected to a live person. They verbally confirmed that my order was received and it was being processed. When I didn't get any email indicating shipping confirmation, I called agin. Over the phone the sales person informed me that the order shipped and gave me the FEDEX tracking number. My order arrived in a plain brown box. In the box were the three items I ordered, a copy of my invoice, a packing slip, and a very nice DBT catalog. There was no fill material in the box, but the items I ordered did not require any. I agree with the A- score given in the title of this thread. It seems like DBT really needs to automate more of their internet ordering system so that things like order confirmation emails and shipping notifications get sent out. Other than that, no complaints; had my items in stock, reasonable prices, reasonable shipping prices, shipped the item out relatively quickly, easy to get ahold of someone on the phone, and even a yummy catalog full of temptation. I would easily order from DBT again, I just wish they followed through a little better with internet orders. (I guess I am spoiled by Amazon.com) Mite
