Nope, a Standerd 50 round Mag.

I'm no Airsoft gunsmith but maybe the mag isn't feeding right. Ya know the little hole where the BBs go from the mag to the inner barrel? (excuse my technical lingo ) but maybe it's crooked or something and the BBs aren't always loading.

OK, I put the mag in, Makes its "click" sound. ok now i know its loaded. I start shooting Simi-auto and maybe one BB shoots out then it sounds like its totaly empty, i take the mag out, back in, samething, then i go full-auto ok that works, i think i was going simi to fast perhaps?

The same thig happens with my PDW when the battery is almost dead. If you can, discharge it and charge it back up, it should wok fine. It happens with both of my batteries when they start to die.

Make sure you are using High Grade BB's so they will feed smoothly.
If they are out of round or have nicks on them (reused) then you WILL encounter feed problems.
If its the "I have it on semi and it doesn't fire, or even try to fire" thing, then rotate to Full auto, fire a short burst, then rotate back to semi, and it should work fine, sometimes on the new guns you get that.
Andy, Private message or email me if you are still having any problems or questions, I'm about as sharp as a baseball. That's why I used stupid text speak.

Right under the area you slide the barrel in there is a tiny hole. You need alan rench (metric) to stick in there and loosen/tighten. The same thing happened with my new flash hider. Hope that helped. If you need pictures I'll be happy to send them to you.
