The cost isn't that big, it's him changing the color on his computer and hitting print again... that's all... it's about $0.50 a patch by printing them off his computer, plus maybe another $1.00 to have the outer ring embroidered.
EDIT: Maybe the colored tape would be too bright and it would "give us away"... I have nothing else to say! I don't know how we're going to even see the phantom thing as dark as these colors are...

How does he print them on his computer? As long as the quality is good and the price is so low it sounds like a great way to do it.

You put iron-on paper into the printer, print all 4 images, cut them out, iron them onto the actual patch with the embroidered ring, then sew the patch on.

That depends on what tape you're thinking of...I meant team ID tape, not reflector tape . But, hey, you're welcome to make yourself an easier target ;D! Knife- I'm thinking he means that paper you can iron on to fabric, or...something. EDIT: Damnit! 1 minute late !

I have nothing else to say. Yeah, it's like when you used to get stuff for baseball, they'd give you a sheet of iron-on paper and your mother would iron it on the back so they'd know what team you were on.
EDIT: It's like a tattoo for a t-shirt, only we're putting it on a patch.
EDIT2: Not reflector tape, but like electrical tape is bright too.

The scream mask is very creative and ingenious.
The color in four is working the best. When i think of ghost that is the color that comes to mind out of the four. In addition, the other colors might (i know patches are very small) stick out in some game atmospheres. The gray is the best color for the job.
Very good project development. You took your first idea and built on it well. Now you have a very eye intriquing and ingenious piece.
Good Job
Do you have a final jpeg with the included text and finished piece?

Just so you know the printing is the sheets of iron on material that are put on to just any pice of fabric. Then the edge can be embrodered at no extra cost since my mom can do that on her sewing machine quite easaliy then the patches are sewn on to the uniforms like any other patch. And they hold up quite well unless your like cutting them with a knife or something like that.

I really like the grey phantom patch. Consider me a vote for it. The idea of tape to designate squads is cool. I don't think the tape will give anyone away as long as it's the same color as the what you originally intended for the patches. I've never made a patch on a computer before but I suppose it wouldn't be too hard. In fact I know another way, although I've tried it with similar projects and the quality is sub-par. Just printo out your patch in the size you want on normal printer paper. Buy a bottle of transfer glue from a craft store and apply it to the ink side of your paper. Put that side face down on the fabric on which you want the patch to appear. Iron on the back of the paper to transfer the image to the fabric. The image should be inverted. Now you are free to cut the fabric into the shape of your patch and embroider the ring. I don't really use team patches but I do have a 1 of a kind embroidered patch on my US woodland BDUs. The pic doesn't do it justice. The indigo is darker than it appears here. My aunt is a genious with embroidery so she made me this: Edit: Pic resized
