Eheheheheheh why the heck does everyone think I was looking at a chick? Even my frigging Honors English teacher thought I was eyeing a chick and just "happened" to twist my neck...argh...I just took some aspirin, hope it works...

Hehe@aiming. I thought the exact same thing, but I can finally turn my neck to the right now, just not tilt it as far as normal (it hurts like a biznitch). So...I can aim just fine. ;D

The blood drained from your face eh? Sounds pretty serious. Anything that cuts off your circulation internally... isn't good. I trust you've told your parents? EDIT: That's right - you went home early - never mind.

Just to mention: On Billy Bob's Airsoft Jamboree there is a great animation of the internals of an AEG. It includes the piston, mag, gearbox, and motor. Anyways, it helped me understand how the things worked. I'd give you all the site, except i guess the guy shut it down, no links to the site work anymore.

Newman, It takes a certain amount of mechanical inclination to be able to understand how an aeg operates. All of those wuestions that ou asked are not even airsoft specific. Basically, you can Have someone teach you how to take one apart, or you can learn how to do it yourself. I took mine apart the day after I got it. I was curious. But if you don't know what shims, bushings, and tappets are, I am not sure that I would recomend it.

Retraw, you've been out of the loop. ;D
I took my MP5SD6 completely apart and fixed it, and today my dad and I are going to fix the screws (self-tapping Taiwanese crap) and get it all working. The questions I asked about how does an AEG fire and what does a tappet plate do *are* Airsoft specific...? My dad (Ph.D. in chemistry...if for some reason you think he's "dumb" or anything) didn't know what bushings were, so I just asked on here.
That's why I asked the questions...
Hmm....
