I like that setup a lot actually. Just curious, was the helmet originally painted that way or did you spray it? I'm tempted to just go the Multicam route but havent decided yet.

I figure I will throw these out there while they are still in my possession. Crye Precision Combat Pants, 2nd Generation in Multicam. As far as I know, I'm one of the very few in MI here with them, haven't seen anyone else for that matter. They aren't available to civilians yet, only to the military. It saddens me to sell them without ever getting to use them, but for what I sold them for, I couldn't resist. rest of the gear pictured: Everything is in Multicam Eagle Plate Carrier with Cummerbund Eagle Triple M4 Pouch Eagle Single M4 Pouch x2 Eagle MLCS Admin Eagle MLCS Utility Pouch Eagle Modular Assault Pack ATS MOLLE War Belt ATS Roll Up Dump Pouch HSGI Double Pistol Mag Pouch HSGI Singe Pistol mag Pouch Tactical Tailor horizontal Utility Pouch ATS Suspenders in CB

This will be my 1990's Marine Corps kit when I get it finished, my dad is going to pick some of it up when he goes to Battle Creek on friday. It will be finished by the Phoenix Tactical game on the 11th of July.
From top to bottom
Kevlar PASGT Helmet (Real PASGT helmet my father used) Sun, Dust, Wind goggles. Woodland or 6 Color Desert blouse, ALICE belt with ALICE Magazine Pouches, Canteen and Canteen cover, First aid pouch and kit (I hold speed loaders in there) and butt pack. Mechanix Gloves, Woodland or 6 Color Desert pants, Jungle Boots
For weapons I will either use my Classic Army M16A1, or Classic Army M16A4. They're not period weapons but I wouldn't want to buy a whole new Rifle for m kit. I had an M9 Beretta but it's all screwed up. If anyone has any more suggestions, please let me know.

I would say lose the Mechanix gloves, I don't believe they would be period accurate at all.
And as for your weapon, the A1 is going to be less obvious as being wrong than the A4 will be. It could be plausible that even into the early 1990's an A1 could have snuck through, but in reality they would have almost certainly either been retired or converted into A2's. Fun fact, a buddy of mine in the Army actually had an M16 issued to him that the lower appeared to be a retrofitted A1 receiver.

Make sure that your SWDGs are ANSI rated, or that you wear a different pair of goggles during games. The older ones had fragile lenses that weren't meant for ballistic protection. Bolle X500s will look period accurate and provide adequate protection from BBs.

Yeah, I just use the Mechanix gloves because I don't know the name of the gloves worn around the time period. I have also seen a picture of an M16A1 in the Gulf War, so I guess it can be correct, in a book I read before, the Marines didn't order many M16A2's untill the Late 1980's. My dad's Marine Corps guide book shows the M16A1 rather than the M16a2. And Ike, when my dad goes to Kalamazoo to pick some of the stuff up and my M16, I'll see if he can find some goggles. I'll get some pics up when I get my stuff and figure out how to upload pictures haha.

Get some Sage Nomex Flight Gloves, they've been used commonly for decades.
