Lately it has been getting hot as all hell down Atlanta. I normally run a eagle ciras but with the heat the way it is I just can't take it. So I am now in the market for a flexible, light and comfortable chest rig set-up. The one that has caught my eyes is the Phalanx Chest Rig Type 4 Fury. I have watched several videos and seems like nothing but good things has been said about it. However, I was wondering if anybody might have some comparables to recommend.

You either don't mind me or you hate me. I don't expect you to love me.

Another popular vest is the Rhodesian Reconnaissance Vest, or RRV. Its similar to the Type 4 Fury, but instead of it having built in pouches, it has MOLLE, as well as a folding admin panel above the main rig. The back is completely open, and I find it perfect for the summer games.

I see that you enjoy the finer things in life, gunning with a systema and Eagle Ciras. Have you looked into the Crye JPC? It's about as light and breathable as a PC gets. Obviously you are asking for input on a chest rig but I figured I would also recommend this as I hear nothing but good things about it.

There are replicas available in coyote and ranger green for much cheaper.

The Eagle Universal Chest Rig SKD Version is quite similar in function.

There is always the LBT 1961 as well, or Eagle MPCR with MOLLE channels rather than the built in MBITR pouches.

Also consider the Tactical Tailor MAV, Mayflower, or ATS chest rigs.

Decided the Phalanx Chest Rig Type 4 Fury was the best option for me.
