So Im trying to make an Airsoft team for my area and I need a patch made, so I call up the one person who I know has an embroidary machine, makes logos and patches for CHEAP, and loves to do this stuff.... my Grandma. But she has never made a unit/military style patch. She wants to know how big it has to be. Is there a 'standard size' for circular patches? (like 4inch Diameter etc) Thanks.

Usually 3" sits about kosher with your average sleeve pocket/admin pouch. Take a compass and a pencil and draw yourself different size circles, see whatever you like. Just know that embroidery obviously can't get precise as far as font, the smaller you go the less detail you'll be able to throw in.
