Lots of drunks, lots of accidents, lots of deaths. Even if it isn't the coolest, your life is more important.

My mother works in health insurance. She says brain injuries caused from this and people not wearing seat belts are the most expensive damages. I wouldn't be against the repeal if they also made it so insurance companies don't have to cover stupid people that choose to put their life in danger, but because we do, I think it was a bad decision.

If this causes my insurance to go up I'm going to be pissed. Riding a motorcycle without a helmet is honestly, just fucking stupid. It doesn't matter how good of a rider you are, stupid people are always out on the road in force.

Mass-genocide of all the idiots is an option, I'm sure it wouldn't go over too well with the international community, though...

I believe as far as insurance goes, you have to have more medical coverage than if you wore a helmet.

Already saw 4 riders without helmets on the road today. I wouldn't ride my 650R without a helmet if someone paid me to. I always wear pants, motorcycle boots and gloves. I feel naked without wearing a jacket, and I don't even like riding without using a full faced helmet.

It's not about safety. It's about the choice. Before, it was just one more thing the government told us we had to do. Now it's the freedom of choosing for yourself.

That's fine if it's about "choice". But if the choices of those lead to death and serious injuries which in case drive up insurance rates for those of us who chose to ride with helmets then I'll gladly forfeit my choice to not use a helmet if I can't even afford to ride in the first place because insurance is through the roof.

I'm all for freedom of choice. Government currently regulates too much of our lives, there's so little personal responsibility anymore it's ridiculous.

I completely agree with the whole freedom of choice, yet I feel the same as Gunny. It's different than other things that have come up, it just makes it worse for the rest of us.

We paid for peoples insurance when they didn't wear helmets before the repeal. I don't think it's going to go up anymore. It's still dumb, though.
