Re: Possible "Cure for cancer" game? « Reply #3 on Jul 19, 2011, 6:00pm »
As long as it's next year when I get my license and a car, I'll be able to go. But if it's before that, most likely not. And from the sound of it, it's basically like Milsim OP: Tailwind but without the Milsim part.
Unless you want to turn it into a Milsim event where each team has to capture crates (cardboard boxes) and "the cure for cancer". That would be interesting. And the team with the most crates wins or something to that effect.

This Fall, and it is milsim. The object wouldn't be capturing crates, more on the lines of something relating to cancer.

When I was refering to the "crates" or boxes, I meant that the medicine/cure would be in those. Now, they won't be big boxes because then we couldn't carry them. And the medicine/cure could be like a Gatorade stuffed in a box. And if there's cancer patients (either volunteer civies or regular players), all they'd have to do is drink the bottle to get cured and/or ready to join the rest of their team.
As for the starting of the game, we could start out with 2 teams which both have half of their team that needs to be cured. Then randomly throughout the game, small care packages will be "air dropped" (not literally) at certain "drop zones" with only 2-4 cures.
Just some ideas. This would also be a good thing to post on our forum.

For 36 hours, that's a great price. Island Thunder was the same price and we only played for 6 hours plus an hour lunch. So $40 sounds reasonable to me since some of the money is going towards cancer.
But like I said before, I or anyone else on our team except you won't be able to make because it's not only 36 hours (from you say), but we all don't have cars that we can get into if it rains or something.
